CRM/SFA for Smaller Companies

deep in the hole
I'm looking to move off of Microsoft Dynamic 365 and on to a new SFA/CRM service. In the past I have used a lot of the big ones (most recently Salesforce). We are a small to midsize company and I don't anticipate having more than 5-6 users for the next couple years. I'm looking for a good tool to help me manage the real basics, very rudimentary reporting. Basically, I am looking for the PlaySkool version of an SFA. I feel like every SFA I have ever used has had a billion features I have not used and much more complexity than is necessary for a simple team like ours. Oh and I don't want to spend a ton of money. If anyone is familiar with UpShot, I used them back in the day (18 years ago) and loved them until they got gobbled up and replaced by more complicated systems designed for bigger teams.

I have been looking at Sugar, which looks fine if a bit complicated.

Any suggestions for simple, user-friendly SFAs that are relatively inexpensive?

We have a small sales team at my current company and use Pipedrive.
I personally haven't logged in for a while but the people that manage the pipeline/customers/prospects like it.

It is very bare bones but might be worth checking out.

SugarCRM sucks. Its built structurally similar to SFDC, but much clunkier. I suppose if the price point is your driving factor, Sugar is probably a better fit than SFDC, Oracle, Sage, etc, but the company kind of sucks.

Dont forget, if you don't have the chops to set it up yourself, you'll have to pay a CRM partner to set it up for you. Costs a few hundred dollars per hour, usually.

This is timely because we will be exploring CRM options in the spring/summer and have limited needs similar to Ed. We have been using ACT! for probably 20yrs and I'm torn because I know there are better solutions out there but I already know the workarounds for all of its shortcomings. The devil you know, and stuff.

Thanks. Checking it out right now.
Shit I wrote up a reply earlier and never hit send. We use Pipedrive as well and I think it fits your description pretty well. I don’t know the cost but I imagine it’s not expensive. It’s not too bad to use and definitely not overly complicated. Solid mobile app too.

Thanks again all. Pipedrive looks really interesting and I am hoping to give it a try. I will follow up when I have more information and will provide a review of what I find. Thanks!
