Yankees are so-so on Robbie Ray. Lot of walks. They’re talking to Arizona but would have their limits on price - Andy Martino.
Watching Gammons on MLBN? He added that they might want to deal for a Ray/Bradley package

#Tigers continue to ask #Nats for Carter Kieboom in Shane Greene talks, source says; @beckjason and @JamalCollier reported on Detroit's interest in Kieboom earlier this month. @MLB @MLBNetwork

I love reports like this. I'm sure they're interested in Kieboom. I'm sure they're also interested in Trea Turner. If Washington trades Kieboom for a non-elite reliever like Greene, their management team should be fired directly into the sun.

If Ray to the Yanks is dead and the Mets won’t deal them Syndergaard or Wheeler, who is left? Boyd?

From Sickels' SF Giants top 20 prospects, 2010:

1) Buster Posey, C, Grade A: No-brainer. All he needs is playing time.
2) Madison Bumgarner, LHP, Grade A-: Almost went with B+, but strikeout rates aren't everything. More concerned about dropping velocity. May still go with B+ eventually.
3) Thomas Neal, OF, Grade B: Solid all-around hitter, saw him in Arizona Fall League and he convinced me bat is for real.
4) Zack Wheeler, RHP, Grade B: I'm hesitant to give a grade this high to any high school pitcher without a pro track record, but I really like Wheeler.

Dubon seems steep for one of the relievers, so I'd guess this is for Bumgarner.

edit: Twitter says I'm wrong. Wow. If so, that's terrible news for Boston's bullpen search.

Good for Milwaukee if true.

Man, the Giants opting to sell at only 1/2 game further down from the wild card than the Sox is kinda eerie.

Heyman says its not Bumgarner. But if that's the cost for not Bumgarner, now I know why starters and good relievers aren't moving. Sellers not named Toronto are insane.

Two months of 2019-vintage Pomeranz and a 29 year old relief prospect for six years of a starting middle infielder is an awful, awful trade.

So, maybe now we understand why the Sox were focusing on "lesser arms".
