Just as I start this thread Everton score against Peterborough Utd.

We've got three matches today, a couple tomorrow then a wheen over the weekend. Should be fun.

Fulham and Watford currently sharing the spoils - 1-1 at half time.

Dummy Hoy's least favoured side Sheffield Utd are losing at home to Cardiff with ten minutes and change left of the 90.

The Blades priority is promotion back to the Premier League, well they can focus on that cos Cardiff have knocked them out.

Goodison is quiet, Everton are making hard work of this match...they've not created too much, still a goal up, but Peterborough are well in this.

A late pen for Everton makes the scoreline look more presentable. Broja went off inured, not sure how bad it is.

Fulham ended up making light work of Watford. I reckon Fulham wouldn't mind a decent cup run, decent side they could go far.

Glad the Pigs got theirs...tough to lose at home to Cardiff whatever the stakes.

Wednesday has the worlds most boring draw- at Coventry. Who we played twice in the FA Cup last year. (cue sad trombone)

I don't understand why clubs like Fulham or Brentford or Bournemouth or Brighton or whomever is a mid-table team probably not crashing the top 4 don't throw everything at this competition. It's a sad day when you see clubs at that level using this competition to rest players. Fuck the league, you're finishing 7-13 almost no matter what you do, so let's etch your club's name in history by taking a domestic trophy.

Broja is terribly injury prone. It looked bad. Saw some chatter that it's bad enough to cancel the loan.

I mean I often feel this way about Tottenham, and normally they do have a chance at top 4. For Brentford or whoever? Seems like this should always be the strategy.

Villa-West Ham features Villa wearing some tasty old timey kits - all black shirt, no sponsor, vintage badge, white shorts, white numbers with no name, black socks. Love it.

I wonder who's more likely to score Nunez or 16 year old Ngumoha?

And for those who are dying to know:
The name 'Accrington Stanley' originated from the town's name, 'Accrington', and the name of a famous local entrepreneur and businessman, Frank Stanley. Frank Stanley owned a local cotton mill in Accrington during the late 19th and early 20th centuries and was well-known for his contributions to the local community.

Chalk so far today except Plymouth Argyle, dead last in the Championship, knocking out Brentford.

Harrogate Town, 21st in League Two and thus clinging to their tenuous status as a league side, has Leeds in a nil-nil at 58’ at Eiland Road. The Sulphurites’ keeper has been impressive.

Just turned the Tamworth V Tottenham game on. Still no goals. Is the 3G pitch a leveller? Surely Ange will turn to the bench sooner than later.

Tamworth's Tommy Tonks has a tremendous Delapesque long throw...what a name, what a weapon. Their number 26 Hollis has produced a double drag-back and a header off the line. Fair to say Tottenham are not enjoying this.

Edit: Great minds

Ally McCoist on co comms re: Werner saying he didn't fancy him to score. Sam Matterface the lead commentator replies with 'but he's a hell of a guy...very affable.'

Is this an artificial pitch? Thought not allowed?
It’s definitely artificial. Tottenham has certainly played enough guys to have won this comfortably. Werner has missed a couple of “should score” chances but Tamworth has been well organized and fought hard.

shane that these guys won’t have a replay at Spurs. What a thrill that would be.

I thought it was 3g, but didn’t think it was permitted.
https://www.as-sportssystems.co.uk/fa-cup-artificial-turf/

In 2014, The FA permitted artificial turf (3G) pitches in rounds of the competition. Prior to this, artificial turf pitches were not allowed to be used after the First Round Proper. The change was an endorsement for artificial pitches, as the FA called for clubs of all levels to install artificial turf, in order to allow more community football to take place. They saw the benefits of 3G surfaces and FA general secretary, Alex Horne, said “3G pitches are a very useful asset and capable of delivering 50 plus hours per week as compared to a natural turf pitch which can deliver perhaps five hours per week.”

Dalot just can't make that challenge there on a yellow. No VAR, you know the opponent is going to throw himself 10 yards trying to sell it. Just a stupid decision.

Some effort for Utd to hang on for extra time. Thought Arsenal would score from one of their many corner kicks but Utd held out. No doubt Arsenal will get a winner in extra time.
