A meaningless step. Robyn Glazer was never the problem with this organization, and her deparute doesn't make things better. I think it is only in the bizarro world of sports talk radio that can hatch up conspiracy theories that somehow blame her.Another positive step.
Meaningless at best. Can’t help but wonder if the otherwise faceless Robert Glazer still gets blamed by the lowbrow radio trolls and/or resigns.A meaningless step. Kirk in fact did nail it.Yeah, so, that other locked thread?
There's a scenario here where I did not, in fact, nail it
Jus' sayin'.... we still don't know what's going on
This is so stupid. You think she was whispering "Ja'Lynn Polk" in Wolf's ear or something?Meaningless at best.
I’m not sure if you are agreeing with me or castigating me…so I’ll be more clear. This is so stupid. You think she was whispering "Ja'Lynn Polk" in Wolf's ear or something?
Please elaborate? What did this person do wrong? And talk radio cannot be a source.Another positive step.
It clears the way for Vrabel to institute his vision. Win football games. Please elaborate? What did this person do wrong? And talk radio cannot be a source.
How was Glazer an impediment to that?It clears the way for Vrabel to institute his vision. Win football games.
I think Bill was being a prick to troll the Krafts, and Glaser resigned because it was clear she would keep getting unwarranted abuse because a bunch of Patriots fans (and radio personalities) are misogynistic garbage people. When Mayo was fired, BB said 3 people are making the decisions for the Patriots: Mr. Kraft, Jonathan Kraft, and Robyn Graser. Two of those people are owners. The other is a lawyer. Most people are here think the Krafts are meddling in the football decisions. I don't know either way, but one third of that group is now gone. How is that not a positive step? Bruschi said there are people in the Patriots Org that need to step back. We were looking for change and so far we are getting it. Vrabel was hired. I am fully on board.
I highly doubt Glazer was making football decisions for the organization. When Mayo was fired, BB said 3 people are making the decisions for the Patriots: Mr. Kraft, Jonathan Kraft, and Robyn Graser. If this is what happened then Bill’s a massive asshole and really hurt someone that didn’t deserve it at all….not to mention that’s a really ineffective “troll” of the KraftsI think Bill was being a prick to troll the Krafts, and Glaser resigned because it was clear she would keep getting unwarranted abuse because a bunch of Patriots fans (and radio personalities) are misogynistic garbage people.
Bill has proved impossibly petty and small and anyone trying to keep the train from going off the tracks during the last years of his reign would have drawn his fire. His media appearances were high comedy of self serving pettiness. When Mayo was fired, BB said 3 people are making the decisions for the Patriots: Mr. Kraft, Jonathan Kraft, and Robyn Graser. This right here. Supposedly she was one of the people sitting in on coordinator interviews last year. Vrabel has no use for her in the current role.I don't fully buy the "Robert Glazer would be safe jn his job" theory. Whether or not the hearsay from Granite Sox's post is accurate regarding perception of the organization, the role she stepped into in 24 seems to have been specific to an unusual situation with a (very) inexperienced coach. Once Vrabel comes in and makes it clear such a role isn't necessary, she's either taking what is in effect a demotion or she's moving on.
I have no trouble believing he’s a colossal asshole. It’s part of his charm. If this is what happened then Bill’s a massive asshole and really hurt someone that didn’t deserve it at all….not to mention that’s a really ineffective “troll” of the Krafts
I hope that’s it.This right here. Supposedly she was one of the people sitting in on coordinator interviews last year. Vrabel has no use for her in the current role.
Yes, it’s possible.I have no idea what kind of job she did, or didn't do, but is it really that outlandish to consider that BB might've been right, she didn't belong, and had an oversized role in football operations, relative to her past experience? The knee-jerk default position to assume dark, petty, misogynistic motives that some have here, isn't based on anything more tangible than any other analysis.
Would be more like blinded by the sports hub. Weei has been dead for years even though they still operate.Patriots fans and this forum in general are so influenced by Boston sports talk radio. Given the lack of Lombardis of late I would rename the forum "Blinded By WEEI".
That he did, it is crazy to me to see this much of an uproar over this woman, that no one even knows what the heck she even did.... Clearly there is a parting of direction here with Vrabel so time to move on....Kirk in fact did nail it.
I don’t live in Boston, have no idea what their talk radio sounds like. What exactly is being influenced by Boston sports talk radio right now in this forum?Patriots fans and this forum in general are so influenced by Boston sports talk radio. This topic for example. But there are many more.I don’t live in Boston, have no idea what their talk radio sounds like. What exactly is being influenced by Boston sports talk radio right now in this forum?
Not cool, j-manyeah she does not football she was kind of cute esp with the hair
Why?Not cool, j-man
OK, I get it. Misunderstood your original comment.I think she has been targeted by sports media in general and BB in specific and it resonates essentially because she has an obviously female name. I don’t think she Fed up the draft, and have no reason to suspect she Fed up anything (or was great either fwiw).
Setting aside the gender aspect of this, those guys are public figures.People talk about Jimmy G's looks or Jaylen Hurts' handsomeness all the time.
Oh. That makes a ton of sense.Setting aside the gender aspect of this, those guys are public figures.
She discusses this in the Dynasty series, and her perspective was definitely interesting.Glaser initially joined the Patriots in 2007 as a senior adviser to ownership and club counsel. Her first day on the job coincided with the NFL's investigation of the Patriots' videotaping procedures, referred to by some as "Spygate," which ultimately cost the team its first-round draft pick the following season.
So she's obviously had her hands in a number of different operational aspects of the organization. As Senior VP of Business Affairs and Chief Administrative Officer of Football, it's easy to see why Belichick said she, along with the Krafts, were the 3 people running the organization once BB was fired (again, assuming I have Bill's quote correct). Wolf, Groh, et al were basically underlings to Bill, running their own departments. However, nothing says she was involved in anything related to making football decisions. I highly doubt she was recommending who the Pats should sign or draft or even having any influence in those decisions, as I've yet to see a single report that indicates that from anyone. She became vice president in 2011 and senior vice president in 2018, before another breakthrough in 2022 as senior vice president, business affairs and chief administrative officer of football.
Throughout her tenure, she was principally responsible for all league business and legal relations, including league compliance.
In 2024, Glaser's responsibilities evolved further as she was a senior adviser to former coach Jerod Mayo. Over the years, she also handled oversight and management of all football department budgets, expenditures, capital expenses, as well as business and technology agreements.
Today, he is the President and Chief Program Officer of Put Me In!, a non-profit whose mission is to increase access to sports for children of incarcerated parents.
...
Put Me In! co-founder Matthew Blodgett, who spent nearly two decades working as a private equity investor, stepped away from his career for two years to launch the program. Driven by his experience growing up with an incarcerated father and playing college football at Yale, Blodgett felt compelled to help children who come from a similar background as he did.
...
The program’s connection to Boston comes from Robyn Glaser, who is Senior Vice President of Business Affairs for The Kraft Group. She co-founded Put Me In! with Blodgett and now serves as its chairman.
J-Man meant to say, I think, that she doesn't know football but she is cute. You know the sexist trope about women in power? They don't belong there - they just got there because they are attractive. That trope. That's not cool. Pretty but stupid is usually applied more to women then men (notice I said more - it definitely applies to men, it's even a Shakespearean theme) and no one is suggesting that Jimmy G or Hurts got there because of their looks. Plus it's poor form to objectify women. I think that's why E5 would say that. I agree with him. Not cool. Why?
People talk about Jimmy G's looks or Jaylen Hurts' handsomeness all the time. Nobody says it's not cool. They laugh and agree.
Note, I don't even know what Robyn looks like. I just wonder why people get defensive when someone calls someone else cute.
Isn't a senior exec of an NFL team a public figure?Setting aside the gender aspect of this, those guys are public figures.
BB said it on the Pat McAfee show. It was widely quoted. I'll look for it.Does anyone have a link to what Belichick actually said about Glaser? Not defending Belichick here, as he has indeed made petty remarks about the Patriots since his firing (world ends at 10, news at 11). But am just curious if what BB said is being spun to create some shitty talk-radio narrative about Glaser.
From the linked ESPN article above:
She discusses this in the Dynasty series, and her perspective was definitely interesting.

The note about "senior advisor to ...Mayo" is consistent with the report that she was involved in the interviews for his assistants. Obviously, we don't have a lot of information. But one way to interpret this aspect is that Mayo really had no clue about the legal/HR aspects of hiring/firing or interviewing, having never done it before. Your typical OC or DC would have had a lot of say in hiring the lower level assistants, and certainly would be interviewing them. Same with a former college head coach. The reports seem to speak to Mayo's inexperience than Glaser's ability to do her job.
It's safe to say that Vrabel does not need such assistance (although saying he has "no use for her" can come across as a bit misogynistic). She could have remained in her Senior VP role handling the budgeting, capital expenditures, agreements, etc. According to a quick google search, she's 56 years old, and been with the organization for 18 years now. So she may very well see this time as the last opportunity to move into a bigger role, either with another sports team or some other private practice - stuff like that happens all the time. 18 years is a long time to be in any organization, and working relationships do change over that time. We should try to at least give her the benefit of the doubt here before assuming she was incompetent at her job and therefore had to go. And as for those that think the team will be "better off" without her:

Here are his remarks:BB said it on the Pat McAfee show. It was widely quoted. I'll look for it.
People are saying Bill is killing her and that's the quote? My god talk about a mountain out of a mole hill. That is totally innocuous. Here are his remarks:
“The Patriots situation, honestly, I don’t have too much of a comment on that,” Belichick told McAfee. “Robert Kraft, Jonathan Kraft, Robyn Glaser, they’re the decision-makers there. Who exactly does what and so forth? Mayo was hand-picked by Robert, but in the end the decision-making is something that they’d have to comment on and identify. They’re the ones that are really making the calls there and so they’re the ones that should comment on that, I really don’t know from the outside looking in.”
Belichick added with a smirk: “They haven’t called me and asked so I really don’t know.”
Most of his alleged slights against the Patriots appear to me to be invented.People are saying Bill is killing her and that's the quote? My god talk about a mountain out of a mole hill. That is totally innocuous.
