Baylor / Oklahoma at noon then LSU / Georgia at 4 makes it pretty good though - that’s a pretty solid afternoon of college football. The other games are definitely more meh.

Interesting info tweeted by Chris Fallica (the Bear from College Gameday). Pasting it here since I don't know how to embed a tweet

"Favorites have dominated the P5 Championship Games lately. 10-0 SU, 8-2 ATS last 2 years. 17-1 SU, 13-5 ATS since 2015, only upset was Penn State +2 over Wisconsin in 2016."

For what was originally supposed to be an important piece of the playoff this is pretty boring
Well, three spots are spoken for:

— The SEC champ is in, as usual.

— Unless Clemson chokes against UVA, they’re in.

— With tOSU ranked #1 ahead of LSU (which is absurd) and Wisconsin at #8, I have to think the Buckeyes are in, even if they lose Saturday.

So the Pac-12 and Big-12 championships are both auditions for that fourth spot. And if Georgia beats LSU, that fourth spot probably disappears —can’t see the Committee taking Utah, Oklahoma or Baylor ahead of an LSU team with 4 wins over top-15 opponents.

Why is the PAC 12 Championship Game played at 5 local time on a Friday?

No wonder the stadium is empty.
How well would it do at 10pm tomorrow nite?

edit - not trying to be snarky, just saying it probably is the best time to get on national TV without competition. Get PAC12 some east coast / midwest coverage

I hate rooting for Baylor but it would be kinda fun to upset the expectations. They got a shot if tonight stands.

If Georgia loses, the Big 12 Champion is the fourth team, regardless of whether it's Oklahoma or Baylor.
Ok, thanks...………...and if Georgia wins and tOSU loses, tOSU and LSU still get in ahead of the Big 12 Champion even though they both lost their conference championship, they both would have one loss like the Big 12 Champion but neither would have won their conference championship.

Seems a bit unfair, but it is what it is.

Clemson is in even if they lose. Mark my words.

If Georgia doesn't win, the four seed is going to be...not very impressive...

No they are not...…..the ONE thing OU has to do is avoid turnovers; so what do they do, two turnovers=10 points

Infuriating.

At this point, I hope OU loses and Georgia wins to make it academic...……………….and I say that as a life long OU fan.

Oklahoma's defense is not stepping up on the big downs, and Hurts looks mediocre.

Baylor's QB looks very raw. OU should be blowing them out

That punt/throw was ridiculous. I can't remember a play like that where the wr had a year to readjust under such a poorly thrown ball.

I give Baylor a ton of credit, all sorts of pressure with a three man rush, forcing turnovers and capitalizing on them with a back up QB in there.

Again, credit where credit is due.

OU has no excuses if they lose this game, it's up to them to get their heads and asses wired together.

If not, so be it.
