Is ND the underdog given Clem recent dominance?

Also these announcers just cited the 2012 ND season as the best of Kelly’s career until now.

Uhhh guess they forgot about the whole academic violation and the 2012 and 2013 season being vacated. His record is 0-0 those years.

ND is an 11 point underdog.

This is up there with Washington 2016 and Sparty 2015 with the lack of nervosity I've felt for a CFP Semi. Hoping for Notre Dame in the first matchup, because I think they're much an easier matchup, not a big believer in that offense. The question I think is how Book does in the air, since you can beat Clemson there, based on a relatively weak schedule. How does Lawrence's absence impact Dexter Williams' performance?

Roll Tide for the second. How does Oklahoma make any kind of stops on Tua, Jeudy, etc.? Much as I respect Murray, CeeDee Lamb, Brown being limited makes it less likely to keep pace in what's likely to be a Big XII shootout (ugh).

So Book gave them three points, after putting it on the ground on the first possession too. Defense playing well but that’s not going to be enough.

So why are you an Alabama fan? You seem like such a nice woman:)

Under the college rules, does the ball have to be in contact with the boundary line, or does it have to just break the plane even if the ball isn't in physical contact with the boundary line?

Would be nice if the broadcast team fucking told us what the rule is.

Good question because I'm not convinced the nose of the ball was in contact with the ground

Seriously. It's really a bad piece of information to have learned.
Heh, well, I hadn't had a team to root for, needed to have someone to watch onto beyond scouting reasons, since I really, really love my football. Sundays with the Pats were great but not enough. So it used to be PSU but the JoePa stuff was a turnoff, primarily (independently of the ethics and so on) because one family member who went there defends Paterno to this day, noting that he did everything he could, and is/was blameless. That's a no.

My requirements were a smash mouth, defensive-minded team from the south (love a passionate base that experiences sports with the same intensity I do) that was innovative with scheme (personally like Saban's funnel concept in retrospect), and a team with solid history. Not necessarily winning, but as opposed to a team that just joined FBS play in my lifetime.

You picked the Yankees and the Lakers. "not necessarily winning" doesn't check out.

You mean Yankees/Lakers metaphorically, yeah? To be sure. PSU was a family deal at the time, mom's side family grew up an hour out of Happy Valley, tops.

And yeah, winning did matter, can't tell a lie, although it was a separate criterion than history, as I view those as two separate items. Take, say, Southampton. Certainly history, but not necessarily success, relatively speaking.

Yes, metaphorically. It's cool, you went with the best team, by far, in college football. At least you have had a lot to root for. I just despise Alabama, so I'm poking at you and I shouldn't. I still hope they lose today.

Roll No Tide.

so the ND QB either throws one up for grabs down the field or guns it at his first look option. that's it. and their lines are doing fine so far....

UCF would be entertaining...

Please do, haha. It's keeping me calm which in these games can't happen enough. I thank you for it. :)

And hey, one of us will be thrilled by the end of tonight. That's not a bad outcome, in the broader look of things. Hopefully it's just a kick ass game that we can talk about for years to come.

For instance, hated Ole Miss 2015, Kick Six 2013 from a laundry perspective, but man if those games weren't fantastic as a fan of the game.

This is not one of those does-not-belong ND teams. They need decent QB play and better injury luck to make this a really good game.

The reviews have not been ND's friend. This one might have been the right call, but the fumble on the sideline was horrendous. Game changing.

Boy this Big 10 official commentator isn’t letting much of his ND hatred show. And of course the call is against Notre Dame. What a surprise.
