In fairness, he really was the victim in all of that.“The stuff in the Summer.” —Meyer
If ND job opens up he’ll take it.2.5 over/under on years Myer stays retired.
You mean weeks? Or months? Under please.2.5 over/under on years Myer stays retired.
I would agree with you if it was 2010. The difference now is that UCF won't need the likes of Florida on their schedule if the playoff field goes to 8 teams, and all signs point to that happening before that 3rd game would ever get played. When that happens, it won't make sense to risk your shot at an undefeated season and a playoff game on a regular season road game in the Swamp against a team that frankly, isn't even that good or highly ranked anyway. There's a chance that 5 years from now, Florida needs UCF on it's schedule more than the other way around.Just catching up on the UCF/UF debate. UCF has to take the 2-for-1 if it was offered by Florida. You can’t stomp your feet and complain that nobody will play you if that offer was on the table. Boise State built their reputation by going whenever, wherever and playing anyone. Go play guarantee games and beat teams on their field and you’ll earn people’s respect. Take any opportunity to play top power 5 teams.
I believe that Texas had a more complete team than OU this year; I'm not surprised.Wow, this could not have started any better for Texas.
Oh no! They should have been in the playoff....along with UCF.Georgia looks awful.
I assume they would’ve played better with proper motivation, but they’re certainly not giving themselves any room to complain now.Oh no! They should have been in the playoff....along with UCF.
In an 8 team playoff it is likely to expand it the 5 power conferences gets auto bids so that leaves 3 at-large. This year ND, Georgia, and Ohio St would all deserve a bid before UCF.I would agree with you if it was 2010. Get him in the 6th round?I remember when Brady used to use that duck at the last second move to avoid sacks from the back side. Like he had eyes in the back of his head. Haven't seen it from Brady in a long time, but Ehlinger is amazing at feeling the hit coming and avoiding it.
Feels like they should be up 20+ points given everything that has transpiredSettling for two FGs instead of TDs probably ends up the difference for Texas.
If you've got next week's lottery numbers, send them my way, because I'd love to borrower your crystal ball. I completely disagree that if there was an 8 team playoff, the committee would have left UCF on the outside looking in, contrary to your opinion. If they put a 2 loss Georgia team into the playoff over an undefeated UCF team (2 years in a row, undefeated mind you), it would have been a disgrace. Could it have happened? Sure, but I haven't seen too many folks make the argument that it would have.In an 8 team playoff it is likely to expand it the 5 power conferences gets auto bids so that leaves 3 at-large. The only way a Group of 5 team gets in any kind of playoff is if they are undefeated and has quality non league wins. There will never, ever be a situation where Florida needs UCF more than they do. There are no Gonzagas in college football.
Oh, if Ehlinger lasted until the 6th round, I'd have no problem with the Pats or anyone else taking a flier on him. Kid is a gamer.Get him in the 6th round?
IMO, the fact that Georgia was given the #5 ranking over a 1 loss Ohio State and an undefeated UCF was the original sin, as it were. I think the committee thought if they put one of those schools at 5, the backlash would have been even stronger, because the Big 10 didn't get a team in, and UCF was undefeated. By putting Georgia at #5, they could tell UCF and Ohio State they weren't even the first team on the outside looking in, and to Georgia, they could just say "Hey, you lost twice, and we took your conference champ." Georgia was the buffer between the committee and UCF/Ohio State, IMO. I think they've been pretty overrated for the most part, but I still think they come back and make a game, if not win this outright.I love that Georgia players were ripping the committee on Twitter and are currently getting their asses kicked by a 9-4 UT team that really isn’t that good.
I'm proud of Texas' performance so far. I think the Longhorns will be a force to be reckoned with in the Big 12 next year.Good half. Defense looked somewhat competent for the first time in a while but helped greatly by Georgia sucking.
