deep inside Guido territory
True. But if he's not out there none of them happen and he's a late first rounder.
Now, who knows how far he will drop...and now he's benched in his final game.
Either Trask got really bad advice or didn't take the advice to opt out.
He had nothing left to prove and there was no upside with the current second string receiving roster.
Why is this game going to matter more than the whole season he just had?

Cotton Bowl has been good for Rhamondre Stevenson, who was suspended for a number of games last year. It's really showcased his capacity to bulldoze his way downfield. Hopefully, he'll be drafted after this season.

That ~10 yard td run he had was a thing of beauty

Nasty brawl at the end of the Armed Forces Bowl. Great quote here
https://thespun.com/sec/mississippi-state/kirk-herbstreit-reacts-to-ugly-armed-forces-bowl-fight
Kirk Herbstreit-
“If the officials and the coaches will not police the game as it escalates in the first quarter and then into the second quarter… eventually the players will police it themselves,” Herbstreit said. “We’ve all see that, just maybe not to this extreme. The officials have to have more authority for us to be able to say that we have a better feel for this. For the coaches… Mike Leach should be embarrassed. His postgame interview and what he said, ‘Hey, it’s football, it’s physical, it’s going to happen…’ are you kidding me Mike? You should be embarrassed about your program and what it did. This is a black eye for the sport… It’s as bad as it can be.”

"Mike Leach should be embarrassed." So does this even make the top 10 of Leach's embarrassments?

Kirk can relax with the drama. Sometimes fights happen.

Now they throw it on 3rd and 2 with 1:41 to go and Georgia out of timeouts. They could have milked another minute off the clock.
Yeah, Cincinnati really bungled that. Gonna cost then the game.
One of the worst coaching decisions I can remember.

Sure, Cincy can run out the clock if the offense gets the 2 yards, but after the D held UGA to 19 points, you had to trust them to hold the fort for a minute there.

That Cinncy coach had Georgia on the money line. There is no other explanation. Or one of his children was kidnapped during the game and they threatened to kill the kid if they didn't completely screw up that last possession. Something happened, because he just completely blew it.

It's always a pleasure to watch SEC teams be challenged by those from presumably "worse" conferences. Go Cincy! Go Northwestern!
We’ll see about Bama and TAMU, but the SEC East was criminally overrated. No blame for the Committee — very hard to make these judgments with essentially no P5 interconference games.

So that kid milking a minor injury just cost Cincy an undefeated season and the announcers totally glossed over it. He stopped the clock for a team with no time outs.

Good game. If Georgia had a better QB, they would have won more comfortably. I am not sure I understand why clock didn't stop (fully) when the Cincy QB went OOB with 2 minutes left.

If Pats can trade down to below where Big Vince was picked, I'd like Davis.

There was a little over 2 minutes. Clock stops until the ball is spotted when there is over 2 minutes to go.

If he went out of bounds 2:00 or under, then clock stops until the snap.

Georgia had time to run a play or spike it. Cincy pass rush looked gassed, so I think the stoppage helped them.
They maybe had time to rush and spike it, but instead they got time to slow down, try a pass play, and then calmly bring out the FG team. That was a huge mistake.

The Georgia seniors lost the Natty as freshmen and the SEC Championship as sophomores on that field. Some bit of redemption to go out with a W in the Peach Bowl.

Fickell is a really good coach, learned from Tressel and Meyer, and turned the program around post-Tubervile. Just a bad day of play calls. Cincy will be back.

Alabama is going to destroy the Irish here. That was WAY too easy. And I'm with mauf....Smith is the best WR in college. But he might not be the first pick because he's not that big. He's kind of slender and I wonder if that makes someone go with Chase ahead of him.

Yikes. I wish the Celtics game overlapped with this one and not the later game.
