Indiana, ranked 11th, gets to play 4-5 Ole Miss.

NC State, who's ranked 23rd, gets 4-6 Kentucky.

Former Indiana AD Fred Glass went scorched earth today and didn’t hold back on how IU was treated by both the Big Ten and CFB “committee”
View: https://twitter.com/ZachOsterman/status/1340806313220202507

IU was bypassed for one of the New Year’s Six games and will play in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 2.

“I’m not AD anymore, nor officially affiliated with IU, so I can tell you what I think, and that is this: Our program, our coach and our kids got done in by the gold-old-boy Big Ten football power structure,” Glass said, according to Zach Osterman of the Indianapolis Star.

“There are influential people who don’t want Indiana to be good in football. They’re used to coming int our state and poaching our best high school players and counting us a ‘W’ on their schedules.

“That’s why they don’t advocate for us. Is there any real doubt we’re the second-best team in the conference? Look at the polls, even the CFP. Look at the common opponents. To those who are trying to kill a resurgent Indiana football program, I say, it’s not going to work. You’re just putting more logs on the fire. I love Tom Allen, and I love these kids.”

The chair of the college football playoff committee was Iowa athletic director Gary Barta.

It makes no sense at all. They're cancelling games because they can't find teams to play, meanwhile a 9-2 Army team doesn't get an invitation.
With a coaching change on the horizon; you can put money on South Carolina completely mailing it in, just like BC did versus Cincinnati last year.

Tennessee has since backed out of the Liberty Bowl due to COVID. It appears that the game will be canceled, although I am not sure if they are planning, or even able, to extend an invitation to another team. How about WVU-Army?

One under .500 was probably where the bar should have been set this year (versus, in a normal year, .500). Probably a comparable record for the bigs considering they played few, if any, ooc games this year. Under that, I think they should have stayed home.

His own TE caused the fumble
If you don't want to score, take a fucking knee before they pull you in the end zone, etc.

Then again, what do the analytics show when it's between giving the other team 20 or so seconds to get a field goal or a minute to get a touchdown? That was the choice in the Raider/Dolphin game.

Sort of fascinating that something similar was happening in both games at almost the same time.

Nice TD efficiency by Casey.

But Colorado needs to tackle and cover better.

Nice short commute back for the Longhorns.

Was hoping for a competitive Cotton Bowl. Florida is missing a bunch of players because of Covid and opt outs and it’s showing. Sooners up 14 early.

When Trask's top four receivers opted out he should have been advised by his agent to do so also.
He just set himself up to fail and it is going to cost him a lot of money.

Two of his interceptions happen no matter who is out there.
True. But if he's not out there none of them happen and he's a late first rounder.
Now, who knows how far he will drop...and now he's benched in his final game.
Either Trask got really bad advice or didn't take the advice to opt out.
He had nothing left to prove and there was no upside with the current second string receiving roster.
