There
I feel compelled to join one of the Japanese speaking houses, and House 5 has the most post-season MVP awards, I think? So I'll go House 5.

I think House 2 might be a lot of fun. I might pick 4 if they chose Eck instead of Dice K.

If you could make your own House 6 to live in with guys not on that list who played at least one game in the 2000s (as that’s what the houses above seem to be limited to), who are the five guys you’d choose? I have to think about that.

Manny, Millar, and Papelbon? Goodnight. Petey can teach E-Rod how to play cribbage.

House 4 with Gomes and Napoli has potential to get a little weird too. Sale has it in him to cut things up a bit. Xander and Dice could hold down the fort.

In the NBA suspends it's season there is a post about you would want to be quarantined in,

The Red Sox have done the same thing except with Sox legends (and some not).

Can we rearrange into five themed houses?
  1. Olympus, where the gods live: Pedro, Big Papi, Pedey, Sale, Foulke
  2. The Goofballs: Manny, Millar, Victorino, Napoli, Koji
  3. Intensity, (aka the Twitchies): Tek, Gomes, Nomar, Vaz, Youk
  4. Normalcy: Mitch, JBJ, Lowell, Benny, Foulke
  5. IHOP (International House of Players): X, E-Rod, Devers, Dice-K, Eovaldi

Arroyo (I want somebody to jam with)
Wake
Coco
Breslow
Brockstar

Not a wild and crazy bunch, but good company for the long haul, and with enough quirks to keep things entertaining.

I was thinking about going with Holt, Alex Cora, and Mike Timlin. Not sure about the other two yet. Maybe Dave Roberts and Ryan Dempster. Hmmmmm.

House 3 is hysterical. I kind of love it, but not a place I'd pick to hunker down in. I think 1 and 2 are the obvious choices... will go with 2 in a push. In big Papi I trust, but given that pitching is the part of the game that fascinates me the most, I can't pass up on a chance to hang with Pedro.

In the simulacrum
While house four has the best potential for the pitching match-up in the 3v3 wiffleball game (with Sale and Dice-K), I think Sale seems like kind of a jerk, so I'll go with house 2. Something has to give.

I'll go with House 1. Youkilis and Nomar would get on each other's nerves to such an extent that it would end up in a fight to the death. With one of them out of the picture there would be more food available for everyone else.

The lack of Vaughn is a real issue. He's right up there with Mookie and Pedro for guys I'd want to hang out with.
Mo also has some entertainment connections he could probably convince to join you all for the quarantine period.

House 3 definitely has the most Animal House potential and would be a helluva party but any long term quarantine with them would be detrimental to my health. Hanging out with Pedro for any length of time would be enjoyable.

House 3 would be a lot of fun, but the risk is too great of waking up every morning with a penis drawn on your forehead. And yes, it would probably burn to the ground sooner rather than later.

House 1 has the obvious draw with Papi, but, as much as I loved Nomar as a player, I've got to think that living with him would not be fun.

Houses 4 and 5 seem blah.

House 2 has Pedro. Winnah!

Pedro is in House 2. Therefore House 2.

House 3 seems like the baseball equivalent of a goofball frathouse movie. So that's the silver medal.

Yeah, House 3 definitely good for a long weekend, but not for a lengthy quarantine.

I agree 1 and 2 are the best. I'd go with 1, because I like the balance of "twitchy" personalities (Nomar, Youk) with more seemingly laid-back guys (Mitchy, Devers), with Papi kind of the fulcrum. Would be a fascinating group.

House 5 is a sleeper, too. I have a feeling that good long conversations on Big Topics could be had with both Lowell and JBJ. And of course Koji is a sweet and funny guy. Not sure how Foulke and Eovaldi fit in, though.

I actually meant to post that 5 was an intriguing option, but left that out for some dumb reason. I'm not quite sure why, but would agree about Lowell / JBJ being good guys to hang with, with Koji being a guy who'd be great at keeping spirits up. Foulke and Eovaldi are a bit more of a blank slate to me, but Eovalid at least seems like an even-keeled, unselfish guy...

Definitely NOT House 2 for me. Pedro only gets to call me a f*cking asshole once in his life.

It's gotta be House 1 for me.

Youk- I always appreciated a good eye at the plate, but most importantly beer. Youk makes beer.
Nomar- Always seems to be in a good mood, might be OCD so he would keep the place clean and bonus points if Mia comes with him.
Devers- We're gunna need a translator because my Spanish sucks, but that's why we have Papi. I'll throw BP to those two all day if I get to watch them work.
Mitch- Glue guy who can keep the crew in a good mood, always coming up with ideas for fun stuff to do like fishing, hunting and camping.
Papi- Coronavirus got ya down? Not with BIG FUCKING PAPI around. This guy puts a smile on my face every time I see him.

My nightmare house would be:

UUU
Brandon Puffer
Cordero
Wright
Alcantara

Chauffeurs: Drake Britton and Bobby Jenks
