The same reason people said me misspelling schneid was a jynx. And to answer @Cesar Crespo’s question, I was thinking of something Pedroia related, or something honoring the ‘07 team, the team that won the year I signed up at SOSH. Or even going back to Bosox4416 is fine, I don’t mean to cause trouble at all!The exclamation point is unnecessary. And I sort of would have preferred “movit aughn over”
but I don’t understand what a slump has to do with any of this.
Done. I would have put in a comma to set off the Esquire with appropriate distinction, but the system won't have usernames with commas. Can I please have my name changed to “Mr. Stinky Esq.”?
Thank goodness.Done. I would have put in a comma to set off the Esquire with appropriate distinction, but the system won't have usernames with commas.
Sorry I missed this for a few weeks. You're Sad Sam Jones now, but I hope you can cheer up.Can I get a name change to Sad Sam Jones?
Ford Frick's Asterisk was a carryover from a couple of other sites as a baseball history reference that wasn't team specific, but it's always felt Yankees-centric here.
Could I revisit this? I'd love "Dustin, The Wind" or just back to "Bosox4416"The same reason people said me misspelling schneid was a jynx. SoSH used to have a policy against changing names, but it's antique and can be suspended. PM me with your preferred new name. Expect some reminder of your old username to show up in your tagline (ie, "still hates Dave Kerpen") -- we'd like to maintain some continuity and recognizability.
I'll do this only once per user, so choose wisely.

Any obscure Redsox players or players in general?
There's a "1 time name change" policy but given your name is so familiar, maybe they'll change it. If you chose a player, I heavily suggest you google that player to make sure they aren't involved in any off field shenanigans.
I almost went with Rick Asadoorian. No clue if it's in use as I decided to go with Cesar Crespo because it was the name on a 2nd long dormant account I had.
edit: Unless I'm doing it wrong (very good chance), there are no Rick's on this side at all?
Technically one. and then this. Two posts in, and he's living with regret. Hot damn!
Done.Could I please change my user name to wallythe24 ?
Many Thanks in advance.
Well shit, how will I remember who this is now? 12 year member and they changed their nameTechnically one. and then this.
Done. Now that I am a member, could I change my name to Whoop-La White? And dump this monstrosity I made up during the AOL years?
RHP William "Whoop-La" White was not a Red Sox, but he was the first MLB player to wear eyeglasses on the field.
