Bit of a gift there for United. Well taken penalty all the same.
Leicester’s emergency defending was so good too. They must have had five big interceptions on the last United player in on goal before that, but the last one let them down.

Oof Pulisic got to do better there. Beautiful give and go and he blasts it over on his last kick.

Spurs have a shitty second half and should have beat Palace...but we are going to Europa League!

Tough spot for Bournemouth. Villa want to win, sure, but there is nothing really in it for them.

Bournemouth has been a dirty team every time I’ve watched them. Good riddance.
Vs. Villa? Villa today were truly awful, just dared the ref to give them cards knowing he didn't want to be seen as the reason they went down. They should have been at least 1 man down. Loathsome side.

I didn’t watch the Villa game today. I’m just going mostly on my experience watching them play Palace, and pretty much every time for the past 5 years or whatever, they have been a team that has just rubbed me the wrong way. They’re the sort of team that would end up with like 7 yellows in a game, all against Zaha (maybe a bit, but not much, of an exaggeration, but you know what I mean.)

Fun day for the EPL. Chelsea looked very good, although I'm completely flummoxed as to why Adama and Moutinho started on the bench. Spurs played a totally mediocre match (why Dier over Dav?!?) and held on for a draw that gets them the result they want. United also looked lethargic but were lucky to encounter a battered and discombobulated LCFC.

Go watch the KDB goals. The first was the equivalent of 5 straight Jordan step back 3s, and the other was also nice.

Edit: Because KDB deserves it:

Also a really nice header from VVD:

Am I reading this wrong? If they were 7 from safety with 2 to go then they can't make it...
It was actually 7 from safety with 2 weeks to go. Entering July 12th, Watford had 34 points in 35 games played while Villa had 27 points in 34 games played. Villa would get 8 points in their last 4 while Watford lost their last 3.

No. David Silva is leaving and our GK won the golden gloves while playing generally like crap and we lost the league by like 30 points. Oh and United got a procession of penalties to get a lifeline.

mostly I was just joking except for the Silva thing which is super depressing

Jose was his absolute Josest today, subbing on a center back in a tie game because Chelsea was up 2-0 and refusing to use the fifth sub for Vertongen in his last match at Spurs. So much cynicism....

Well, that makes more sense--weeks vs games.

I was reading an article in The Athletic the other day and they liked Dier's play over the restart and I immediately thought of you.
