This feels like the dam is about to break with a leak of goals for Bayern at any second. Much more consistently crisp, aggressive attack after that strike.

I have a deep, visceral hatred for anybody chewing gum the way Tuchel does. Sir Alex used to make my skin crawl.

Does everyone in this game have a yellow? It’s been nonstop since I tuned in a few minutes ago

OOOOOOOOhhhhhhhh

It still blows my mind that you have on the attack in a CL final MBAPPE....and NEYMAR.... and CHOUPO-MOTING

Can’t have that many chances and make nothing of them. It’s been emblematic this whole run since the CL resumed, despite the prior wins. di Maria not capitalizing right after Lewandowski’s miss is a haunting image and serves as a strong microcosm for the Parisian offense as a whole the last three matches.

Well done and congrats to Bayern. Especially classy for Neuer, even by his standards. Goodness.

I’m finding there’s a direct correlation between Neymar’s emotions and mine. Whenever he’s crying, I just had an enjoyable time as a footy fan. Whenever he’s happy (which is thankfully rare), I’m not.

This match was like Bayern's semi all over again, with a better opponent. Chances in the first half hour that weren't taken and then a lockdown of the match. Neuer played out of his mind today and kept Bayern in it. This Bayern team is one for the books, and I can only hope they age in dog years or chase higher wages elsewhere because the whole side fits together nicely.

Fox soccer social media posted a graphic that showed that they are unbeaten in the their last 30 matches going back to December. That's impressive, but they won 29 of those matches. I've seen better teams, I still think Liverpool is better, but they've looked relentless. I thought Boateng's injury was addition by subtraction. He's been a great player for the club, but he should no longer be a first choice CB for them.

Bayern right now is like the old Soviet hockey team. Just ruthlessly dispatches everyone.

Rewatching some clips, I think PSG really missed Veratti for the full 90. The first half-hour, Paredes was pulling the strings in transition, but then Bayern seems to have started marking him closely off the ball, which effectively took him out and allowed Herrera to get on the ball. PSG really needed that second midfielder who could maintain possession, control the tempo, and break lines to get the ball up to Neymar & Mbappe. That's not Herrera these days.

Agreed. I also thought the moment was too big for Kehrer and he looked unsettled for most of the first half (I didn't watch the second half closely yet).

I was wrong about Davies. He did just enough defensively at the end.
Thought he had a rather subdued game. I think the yellow he received really put him off his game. Seemed really tentative and basically terrified of giving the ball away. Of course, he is 19.

Neuer should have been MOTM .

I have watched Neymar play about ten times now in big games and he has never lived up to the Galactico billing. He was terrible in the final.

Bayern deserved the win but it was closer than I expected. PSG had plenty of chances for sure.
