Big 10 is a better fit for them (than ACC), they can renew Nebraska rivalry (and the geography)

Wow. I don't know, I really think that's a mistake. I know Gladchuk has been very frustrated over the past few seasons, especially losing the CIC games. But there have been a lot of extenuating circumstances.

I would call Belichick and Paul Johnson just to force them to say no. But when that happens -- and it will -- where do you go from here? Moving on from Niumatalolo is to move on from everything that's made Navy competitive for decades now. The grass isn't always greener.

4 year deal at 3 million per season definitely makes him one of the lowest paid coaches in the SEC

Really kind of Aggie to give Jimmy Sexton (I just assume he reps all coaches) a few weeks to get DeBoer, Lanning, Elko etc pay raises. Obviously the boosters have signaled money is no object but I'm fascinated to see how much they're willing to pay up for one of the top dudes. Urban Meyer is the dream scenario for me personally.

I hope they grab Franklin. I’ll help pack up that house to the epic fun it’d be.

Kind of seems like a perfect situation for Urban.

Mike Elko leaving Duke for aTm
That’s too bad. Duke being good was an interesting novelty.
Elko was Aggie’s DC before taking the Duke job two years ago. Now Aggie is bringing him back in an effort to retain all the talent they’ve recruited the past few years. Which makes one wonder why they’re paying $85M to move on from Jimbo Fisher.

aggy is one of life’s simple pleasures. They are like Jim Cramer. Whatever aggy does, just do the opposite and you will be fine.

Mike Elko will lead a solid 8-4 aggy effort for years to come.

Those Duke teams were well coached. I was impressed. I’ll be interested to see what he does under the bright lights.

Off topic, but I really hate this general perception, as Cramer's work taught me so much in the nineties and my family and I have way way more money today because of his work trying to educate non-pros back then (he started with columns in New York Magazine, of all places).

I don't pay much attention to him anymore but the guy freaking named his dog Nvidia in 2017 when the stock was at a split-adjusted 40 (now at 477), Texas A&M dreams of having his kind of run.

Bear Bryant never won more than 8 games at aggy. Gene Stallings no more than 7. It’s a football program that has not won anything for decades and never had sustained success.

Putting together some information now from a few different sources. Will continue to ask around, but for now, here's what I have been told: #JMU offered Cignetti a seven-digit contract. It was still less than what Indiana offered, but it was a pretty decent offer, all things considered. He was staying in Harrisonburg. Turned Indiana down. Hence, his statement: "I had total intentions and plans to retire here." Also, what he told Dave Riggert earlier this week: "I know what my plans are." Indiana came back and made the second offer. The Godfather offer. That's when Cignetti essentially had to say yes, which led to the Pete Thamel report around noon.
