I’m on the road to Albany NY to visit my wife’s grandmother Saturday and can’t catch any game. Which is good because Texas isn’t beating OK State.

Union and RPI both have home hockey games.

Just sayin'

South Carolina via Dorchestah

It probably won't link directly, but click above to understand the thread title.

Related: Coastal Carolina remains undefeated at #14. They probably can't move up (even if they run the table, they have a Sun Belt schedule with no ranked teams left to defeat) but they get to be one of the Group of Five schools that gets a minor bowl and some ESPN love for a few hours between Christmas and New Years.

Well, if Cincinnati ever loses to someone other than an undefeated SMU, I'd think an undefeated Coastal would be in contention for the NY6 spot. Not sure what it is this year -- Peach maybe?

Does Syracuse look better than their results? Because I’m not understanding why Clemson is only a 2 TD favorite at the Carrier Dome tonight.
Don't know the line but could it just be because Clemson's not very good and its offense is putrid?

Didn't make any sense to try a field goal when it was the longest one the kid had ever made.

Lee Corso just added an “e” to Mods on the Gameday picks segment in his pronunciation. Can’t be a good sign for the Eagles.

The heat has got to be getting turned up on Dino B. His results at ‘Cuse haven’t been very good. Mediocre/poor recruiting coupled with some questionable coaching decisions can’t be pleasing the alumni.
They obviously need to convert some of these close games into wins. Going 3-9 would burn through his remaining goodwill from that 10-win 2018 season, and then some.

But I expect the Orange’s luck to even out. They lost to FSU, Wake, and Clemson by a total of 9 points. I expect them to go 2-3 or 3-2 against their remaining schedule. I think that gets him at least one more season.

And I was obviously wrong about Clemson. Thought their ridiculous talent advantage in the trenches would enable them to whip a lower-middle ACC opponent like Syracuse. You can’t pin it all on QB play.

Absolutely thrilling uconn yale game going on right now on cbs sports. 0-0 after 1 with under 100 combined total yards.

Yale getting humiliated so far by the winless UConn Huskies. It's only 14-0 a the half but Yale has 70 yards of offense and the QB has thrown 3 terrible interceptions. Worst half of Yale football in several years.

It's like the 1990s all over again!

UConn holds on to win 21-15 to avoid the winless season. Yale pulled its starting QB after the three INTs. The backup threw a 60 yard TD pass but was otherwise 7 for 31 for 72 yards. Yet somehow, he lead Yale on 3 second half scoring drives and the game ended with an incomplete 40 yard Hail Mary in the end zone.

One of the ugliest games I've ever seen.

Purdue, rotating 3 QBs, including Steve Burton’s son Austin, just drove it down the field for a 7-0 lead over No. 2 Iowa.

Iowa looks like shit. Purdue just dropped a pick-six and Iowa honked like a 23 yard FG

Purdue follows with a huge 60+ yard pass play on a shallow cross… but honks their FG attempt from about 31. Remains 7-0

Iowa ties it at 7 with 3:20 in first half. Injured Purdue player on field now. No booing yet.

Purdue scores late in half, 14-7. Iowa hardly looks like a No. 2 team in the country. Barely beat Penn State last week and somehow jumped to 2.

Texas is a great first half team. Unfortunately football is two halves. They might only win 2 more games the rest of the season.
I don’t know why we should have expected anything else. Herman’s disastrous recruiting plus Seven-Win Steve’s coaching = about six or seven wins. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Iowa LB Jack Campbell just blindsided Bell. He took out the Nit QB last week. Bell got the penalty and then made a first-down catch.

Purdue turns a potential TD into a touchback when receiver loses ball extending to the pylon. 17-7 late in third quarter. Iowa’s first play after the gift is a sack. So is the second. Iowa fans thinking of booing the home team.

David Bell 21-yd TD catch. 227 reception yards today on 10 catches. 24-7. It’s over for Iowa.

Now Georgia blocks an extra point.

Kentucky had a 22 play, 75 yard drive that basically used the last 11:25 of the game (left 4 seconds on the clock). Georgia wins 30-13.

Btw, have you seen Georgia's schedule the rest of the season? Week off, vs. Florida (Cocktail Party), vs. Mizzou, @ Tennessee, vs. Charleston Southern, @ Georgia Tech. Who can possibly upset them? And more importantly, if they finish the regular season unbeaten, if they lose to Alabama - probably - in the SEC Championship Game, do they still get into the playoff? (Has to be yes, right?)
