Welcome back Iso Joe! Is he actually going to see the floor?? He's 40 and hasnt been in the league since 17-18, but he's been active in the Big 3. This is fun and more likely to make me tune in, even if he never see the floor.

Joe is forever a Celtics hero for his role in the collapse of the mid-2010s Nets. Welcome back old friend.

Wish they would've just given IT a ten day and let him have his homecoming during silly season. Because this is becoming a bit silly now.

ISO Joe is 40 years old and hasn't played in the NBA since 2018 because he can't run the length of the court anymore.

Nevertheless, I am going to be tuned into tonight's game just to see him back in Celtics green!

Crazy that in today’s day and age the greatest benefit Johnson brings to the team is being immediately eligible without having to first go through protocol to help ensure we have 8 players dress tonight.

I was going to make a joke that it was the Joe Johnson from 20 years ago (I assumed it was someone else). But, it's not! It's actually him!

The most surprising aspect of this is that he wasn’t already on the Lakers roster.

This is starting to get a little silly.

Every team is going to have a big chunk of games decided by total randoms.

At least it isn’t like college where conferences are distributing Wins and Losses by who can participate in the game.

I suppose.

Deciding games by which G-leaguers and recent retirees you can get on your roster isn't much better though.

Iso Joe is 45th all time in NBA scoring with 20405 points. Everyone ahead of him on that list that is eligible is in the HOF, and the ones not yet eligible are almost all locks. Is Joe a H o F'er?

I mean, obviously it's ludicrious the NBA is trying to play through this.

From a Celtics persepctive given that silly choice by the league, I guess you figure with Joe you do get a guy you can use in a very specific way---ISO him and clear out when you rest Tatum/Brown (or if either is out). So, that's something?

Finally undoing the Rodney Rogers/Tony Delk trade
Hopefully, his time in the Big3 kept him in shape

We haven't seen @reggiecleveland around here for a while. Maybe he has been working out for a look see. Good luck RC.
What's Joe Forte up to?

The NBA is taking from Ice Cube's player pool. How long till they adopt his format?

Like Michael Corleone, when I thought i was out...
I am coaching a high school team again. One of my best friends was overwhelmed by some personal issues so I helped him out the last month or so. I had a team set up for the 20-21 team to make championship run, and season was lost. This year I went to the tryout and thought 'we may go 0-20'. I had planned to step away from coaching, and the thought of the program I built being a basement dweller was depressing, even if I was gone.

But, every school has taken a step back, and we have been 8-1 through the preseaon. My buddie is the head coach and done an exceptional job getting these guys to press, play fast. Our biggest guy is 6'1, when I have been used to half my team being +6'4. We do some mind-bending dumb things but are gettinghuge #s of transition layups, and have three guys capable of making 3s.

I am working oput a bit, toward my goal of dunking at age 60. My age 56 dunk was a covid struggle, but 57 is few weeks away and I am rocking the Casbah at the moment.

I can only speak for myself but I would much prefer to watch Reggie dunk than Joe Johnson do anything for the '21-22 C's. But I prefer watching athletes who are still near their peak versus washed players.

Best part of all of this is that he’s doing this right during the holiday season. His family must be like, ok, whatever.

I think so. He’s at least in the waiting room with DeRozan.

3 points behind Chris Paul for 44th, so that's not gonna change. But look out George Gervin (92 ahead of JJ). And interesting note while wasting time looking this up. Among the top 50, Gervin (791) and Bob Petit (40th and 792) are the only ones with fewer than 800 games played.
