Last I knew they had $20 million under the cap so something has to happen, unless that $20 figure was wrong.

Damn. Well, at minimum this makes clear Hayward’s opt-out decision was correct - he’s going to make almost as much as he would have if he opted in this year, but now for four years!

Yeah, ultimately my guess is Danny just isn’t very high on Turner (particularly factoring in what he gets paid and the Celtics future cap outlook).
I'm skeptical Gordon was taking $20 million less to go to Indiana, this was going to happen regardless of the Pritchard/Ainge staring match.
