Can't see threads started by a specific poster in the subforum

When I'm on the main page, I can see that the last post in the Paris 2024 forum was in the opening ceremonies game thread, but when I'm in the forum itself, I can't see the thread. I don't block or ignore the thread starter (loshjott) as far as I can tell--in any case, I went to his profile and blocked/unblocked and ignore/unignored him and it's still hidden. I don't have any filters on. I looked for another thread loshjott started (Zone of Interest in Omar is Dead) and can see it in the list of threads loshjott started and in search, but not when I go back through the forum to where it would normally appear in the thread list.

Any ideas why this is happening?

The only opening ceremonies thread I see was started by Ale Xander, with loshjott as the second poster. I'd speculate that they each started a thread and the two got merged with Ale's remaining the first post by dint of being posted a minute earlier. Do you have him blocked? Few would blame you.

I was prepping to start an opening ceremonies thread but saw Ale's so didn't.

Yup that's it--makes sense!

edit: It does seem strange that an entire thread is blocked when you ignore one user. I'd prefer to see the thread (but not the initial post, I guess). But I assume we don't have that option
