Canon Printer Won't Print from Windows

I'm at my wit's end. We recently bought a new Canon Pixma MX920 printer to replace the evil HP one that died. We had such a bad experience with the HP machine that I was resolved to buy anything other than an HP. So we got a good deal on a Canon MX 920.

Hooked it up, installed the drivers, ran through the setup, all without issue. But after about a week or so, the printer just stopped printing from my wife's PC. It shows up as being online and connected. The PC sees it and acknowledges that it is there, sees the ink levels, etc. The two are definitely wirelessly connected. But then it doesn't print. The print queue registers, it says it's printing, but it doesn't print anything. It's maddening. It works perfectly well with my Mac, but not from Windows.

I've been through all the fora on the internet, and there seems not to be a solution. Nothing seems to work - not deleting and re-installing the printer and the driver, not doing a hard re-set on both machines, not going offline and then back online - nothing.

Anybody know anything about this? Because if we can't fix it we need to buy another printer.

Thanks.

Try hard wiring your wife's computer. Sounds like a bug of some sort. Maybe, also, try reloading the driver. Very weird.

Check that the print jobs being sent to the printer are calling for a paper size (e.g., not envelope or legal) that the printer is stocked with.

Also, did you set up the printer with a fixed IP address on your LAN?

right here
The two are definitely wirelessly connected.
Are they definitely on the same wifi? Our printer is on "wifi" but we also have a "wifi_ext" extender that my laptop sometimes connects to. If I'm on "wifi_ext" the printer will show up when I try to print but it won't really connect so it just sits there and I get frustrated and swear at it until I remember to change back to "wifi" and then it's all good again.

NatsTown!
We have a similar problem with BigCPAPi's laptop and I think the solution was to just move.

Check what the wifi signal is on the printer. It might be connected but it needs a strong signal (greater than 60%). This is what canon support told me when I had issues with my printer. Try moving the printer closer to the wifi signal and see if it resolves the issue.
