per the B’s.

Heinen’s recall I assume means bad news on the Bergy front. Bergy isn’t practicing today, Heinen would give them a 13th forward for the road trip if Bergy can’t go.

The White PTO is baffling to me. He played in Arizona and Minnesota last season and then was unable to crack Vancouver’s lineup in camp this year. Basically a goon.

They probably see White as an option to replace what Acciari would bring if healthy - speed and heaviness on the forecheck, and not much else

Well, could be a long road trip with Spooner getting top 6 minutes and him turning back into a complete and utter turd yesterday.

I guess they should beat Vegas? God knows they can't beat the Avs.

I have no problem with them taking a flyer on a guy like White with 3 forwards down. If he sucks or Backes is back in a couple weeks you cut him and he doesn't cost you anything. At least they didn't give up a 3rd round pick for a goon this time.

Soooooo... I'm allowed to be officially nervous, and not just tentatively, about Bergeron now, right?

That said, Heinen looked good in camp from everything I read, so I'm excited to see what he can do. I'm just really looking forward to the Spooner experiment ending sometime soon.

Spooner and Czarnik apparently rotated in practice today so I don’t think it’s a given that Spooner stays in the lineup tomorrow.

I guess I can see the reasoning behind the White experiment, but I think I’d prefer to rotate some of the prospects in there until Acciari returns.

Normally I'd agree but I think they want guys like JFK, Gabrielle, Senyshyn, Cehlarik, and Fitzgerald to get at least a few weeks in the AHL before a call up. Heinen is the only guy that they seem to feel is ready now and he's up.

I think part of the issue is that the team is down 3 forwards, 2 of them very experienced, and all of whom would be expected play key roles in the penalty kill and other defensive situations. Having a veteran presence for those situations is helpful, and White's presence doesn't preclude the team from rotating in the prospects if the situation permits. White is probably the best of the flotsam and jetsam currently available at zero cost.

The other issue is that the projected return dates for Acciari, Backes, and unfortunately Bergeron do have quite a bit of uncertainty baked into those forecasts.

I guess that's good to know. But where should I eat if I'm going to the games Joey Mac? What then?
