Clifton, Moore and Ullmark did miss practice with "testing issues" yesterday. They didn't put anyone in the protocol so I assume those issues got cleared and there were no confirmed positives.

Jake getting a bump up to 2RW with Smith out. Nosek returns after missing the road trip.

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Hall - Coyle - DeBrusk
Haula - Nosek - Foligno
Blidh - Frederic - Lazar

Forbort - McAvoy
Grzelyck - Carlo
Moore - Clifton

Also, it's a major annoyance that Reilly gets press box treatment but not Forbort who has been unquestionably worse. Grit and blocked shots, I guess.

I’m surprised that Carlo is getting back in so quickly. The defense looked better without him.

It looks like they will have to make a roster move for tonight up front. Steen is coming off a 2 goal game on Sunday. Zach Senyshyn has 7 points in his last 5.

They don't need to call anyone up, Kuhlman is still here so he'll go in.

Edit: I'd much rather Steen or Studnicka to Kuhlman, but in an emergency like this they'll go with what they got

With Marchand and Smith both out Hall will move up to the 1st line and probably Haula bumped up to 2nd line. I hope they flip DeBrusk over to LW and have Haula on the right. Kuhlman slots back in for tonight, with Frederic on 3rd line instead of 4th?

This is a good window to see what they have right now in Senyshyn and/or Studnicka. 10 days, 6 games.

I’d like to see
Hall-Berg-Pasta
Haula-Studnicka (Coyle)-Senyshyn
DeBrusk-Coyle (Studnicka)-Foligno
Blidh-Frederic-Nosek/Lazar

Of course Butch will probably put Nosek on the 2nd line, Kuhlman on the 3rd and Lazar on the 4th…

If they play, I'd put Jake with Bergy and Pasta. Pump that trade value, lengthen the lineup a little with Hall on line 2.

My cousin is coming up from NC next week to take his kids to a game 1/21 with my family too. The last time we planed this it was 3/14/20 vs. the Leafs.
I fully expect them to get through tonight and end up having to cancel a few games including the 1/21 one because why not?

Extremely small sample size of 1 game, but Senyshyn looked very good in the PBruins game I went to Sunday. He's added a little of Marchand's rat playbook of being chippy behind the plays and getting under their skin. I'd like to see what he could do with an extended run on the 4th line. He has the wheels to be disruptive in that role and he seems to know that a checking / instigator role is probably his path to the show.

Would guess they have some confirmation tests pending and need a couple of bodies.

I'd be stunned if they aren't shut down by the weekend. I mean, Marchand participated in morning skate, who knows how many close contacts he had. Smith practiced yesterday.

What are the rules Canada has for US teams right now? Does this trigger an automatic postponement?

Fluto says:

Per warmups:
Hall-Bergeron-Pastrnak
Haula-Coyle-Foligno
DeBrusk-Nosek-Kuhlman
Blidh-Frederic-Lazar

Forbort-McAvoy
Grzelcyk-Carlo
Moore-Clifton

Brick’s got it wrong on Karlsson. The Jackets gave up Karlsson and a 1st for VGK taking the Clarkson contract.

I swear... Bruins' goalies get beat more often by deflections off their own guys then anything else...

I dunno about you guys, but I’m off to search for the perpetually tiresome takes about how a 3-0 lead is the hardest to hold in hockey.

Our second line wingers have combined to score 1 goal this year. Jake DeBrusk has scored more goals than the rest of the bottom 6 combined.

Marchand and Smith are out at least 5 more games.

It might not be a coincidence that they play like shit as soon as Cassidy is back.
I think it’s just as much that the lack of depth was exposed when two forwards went into protocol.

They tried to catch lightning in a bottle and got burned. Foligno and Haula are decent signings if you’re chock full of top-6 forwards and just needed some sandpaper and leadership. The Bruins weren’t that team.

Completely uninspired performance. It's been a steady team since Cassidy came in, but they have never really fared that well when facing adversity, so this wasn't terribly unexpected.

Not a single one of the free agent signings from this offseason has been a positive this year.
