Hope that means his knee is healing as expected. Clearly in the "might as well" category of moves.

He said today that he's been skating for 4-weeks now, so he's progressing on schedule.

He played really well this season prior to the injury. I hope the injury didn't halt the progression he was making, but this is certainly a reasonable deal for them to find out.

I would think this means a defenseman gets traded this offseason. They have 8 under contract

Lindholm - McAvoy
Grzelyck - Carlo
Forbort - Clifton
Reilly - Zboril

To me, one of Grzelyck, Reilly and Forbort should go to clear some space. They are loathe to deal defensive depth though.

It does seem history has proven them right as the Bruins have a weird quirk of losing D-men leading up to and including the playoffs.... can't remember the last time they played a series without a D-man missing a game or two...

They also have Ahcan on the Prov-Bos commute and should have Berglund and Lohrei ready to jump in by the end of next season. They definitely should be looking to trade defense for offense.

I would try to move Carlo for a young center. He still has value around the league with his size, age, and contract. Easier said than done, but that’s what I would be looking to do.

This would make me very happy. Even late-stage Z was clearing pucks at a better clip than Carlo.

No idea whether Berglund will be ready, and if he is will he ever be more than a 6/7, and Lohrei won't sign until March or April, so i don't expect him to ready at the end of the year.

Ahcan is interesting. He can never be in the same lineup as Gryz in my book, as that team would get beaten up, and neither of them can play PK. I hope Ahcan can play PP,

Gryz should never be on the ice on the PP. his junior HS shot is such a liability. He had a 28 game streak to start the year with no PP points. Then had 5 PP points in 7 games. Then went 43 games straight at the end of the year with no PP points.

I guess you could trade Carlo if you got a legit top 6 Center, but wow that leaves you with Clifford as your second pair RD, or maybe Zboril playing on his offside, and then the other becomes your 3rd pair guy. With Berglund next up
