Chris Wagner deal with #NHLBruins is for $1.25 million per year for 2 years. A dozen teams, including NYI, were interested. Brings compete & bottom six versatility at center & wing. 3rd in NHL with 253 hits last season

Did Tavares get, like, really attached to him during those 15 games maybe?

I don’t see anything in his numbers that suggest he’s an NHL player. This is a weird contract. I don’t like it at all

Wagner scores more goals than you’d think and had some good but short AHL seasons in 15’ and 16’. I think they are hoping his Anaheim numbers will play up for an 82 game season. Giving 15 goals and 25-30 points. It’s all projection though. You have to wonder if he’s the 18-19’ “tough guy” that previously included Rinaldo and Beleskey. If so, they could have done worse.

I really liked Schaller but looking at his numbers, he’s very replaceable.

It was apparent in the Tampa series that the fourth line could get pushed around, and adding someone who can play but is much more physical and will punish opposing teams is a good thing. I am fine with it, but the Schaller era Appears over.

I like this better than the Nordstrom signing as they needed more physicality on the 4th line without sacrificing speed, and Wagner fits that bill. His hitting should play well here, and it's something they needed.
