I don’t understand any skater going up there trying to deke the goalie out of his skates. Just go in hard, pick a spot and shoot the fucking puck.

Another shootout shit show, 0-7 and counting. It is torture to watch. Lucky to get a point. After a great start and dominating the game, 2 rare softies by Halak, then totally outplayed from the 2nd period on, brutal.

Bad goaltending didn't help them tonight (and Halak seems to be in a slump), but the most major inconsistency to this team is its even-strength play. This game was the perfect microcosm of it.

Pasta looks completely defeated by it. He doesn't even want to go.
Loser points will lose them the division. Tampa Bay is on the march and, ashamed of last year's debacle, will not squander critical points against weaker opponents as the Bruins have been doing for nearly two months now.

Ok? What does that have to do with my post?

Maybe it’s that the Bruins are 0-7, but I’m not sure how you can think going from 3 on 3 to a shootout is a good idea. Just keep playing 3 on 3. It’s not going to take long for someone to score. The shootout is a dull coin toss.

The Bruins’ inability to win a shootout is baffling. I don’t understand how such a good team can be so bad at one aspect of the game.

Next time, Chara first with a bomb from the circles. Maybe it rattles the goalie. The slow windy shit never works.

Came to post exactly that. There was just no way he wasn't scoring if the shot was on goal. It'll be harder for the goalie to stop the next 2 guys with his shorts full.

Or just use defensemen. Or the other goalie without his pads. Something to lighten the mood.

Halak or Rask coming in to take a penalty shot would be the greatest shootout moment of the last 2 seasons for the Bruins. It's really just incredible at this point, and last night might have been an all time low.
