Just because it isn't always called doesn't mean it's not the right call. I don't think people understand how much any even minimal contact in the paint can have on a goalie, and that was in the paint(briefly)
Am also annoyed the broadcast is being disingenuous by saying that his body wasn't in the paint but his skate was
I disagree. It is always called exactly like that when it favors the Bruins' opponent, and exactly the opposite of that when it would favor the Bruins. CONSISTENCY!
Isn't this the truth. Of all the many things one might rightly complain about Monty this strikes me as the core:: "the shrug."
What he lacks in tactical ineptitude, Monty makes up for with emotional disengagement.

Well yea, they need to replace their coaches as well. Unfortunately the Sox extended their bad coach and Kraft won't admit he screwed up with Mayo. We gotta hope Sweeney doesn't make the same mistake and cans Monty ASAP
Not saying it’s a bad call. Saying it’s 50/50 that gets called at all. And that’s the problem. There is no rhyme or reason as to when contact in paint is a goal/no goal.
if it was 80/20 or even 75/25 then responding “right call” would make sense. But that’s not the problem most of us complain about with that call. And I can guarantee you before the season is over we willl see much more egregious not called goalie interference at all.
Yeah I agree, I do actually think it needs to be called more, but it turns into a slippery slope that probably ends with reviews of every goal, which I don't know I'd hate if they have an off ice official start it right away. Or call it if it's 50/50 and an automatic review like a major
