If (1) BOS loses in regular time (regardless of TB's result) or (2) TB wins (regardless of BOS' result), TB retains A3 and BOS will face CAR in the 1st round.
If (3) BOS wins and TB doesn't win or (4) BOS loses in OT/SO and TB loses in regular time, BOS becomes A3 and will face TOR in the 1st round.

Kinda nervous that Carlo isn’t included, not because of his importance relative to McAvoy and Lindholm, but because of the traditional brain-scrambling hit he takes just before the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Pens up 3-0 just ten minutes into the first, which pretty much locks up the other 3 seed.

With Carolina's lack of healthy goaltending - and the NHL likely not wanting one of two Canadian teams in the playoffs getting eliminated in the first round...again, I'm ok with the Bruins avoiding TOR in the first round.
And just from a psychological perspective, if there’s a team that Toronto will want to beat in the first round, Boston’s #1 with a bullet.
Yeah, I'm okay with the punt here as well. Rest up boys. Maybe we'll get Friday/ Sunday at home next weekend?
