I am too anal about this, whatever. Brogdon. Not Brogdan. Where do people come up with Brogdan? Is this a Bogdanovic issue?
KOC said on Simmons's podcast last night/this morning that Brogdon has had a foot issue since he was drafted that some doctors see as a "ticking time bomb." Sounds kind of like the injury that screwed up the Carlos Correa signing(s).Well, this isn’t great if true:

https://nba.nbcsports.com/2017/08/31/report-bucks-malcolm-brogdon-red-flagged-in-draft-due-to-foot/In college, Brogdon had surgery to fuse a bone in his left foot, which multiple front-office league sources have indicated drew medical red flags prior to the 2016 draft and could cause issues in the future.
Probably has no real bearing on himSo this means PP stays I guess?
More Os than D in Brogdon, that’s for sureI am too anal about this, whatever. Brogdon. Not Brogdan. Where do people come up with Brogdan? Is this a Bogdanovic issue?
Hippa (I know)If Windy is aware of the issue, why can't he report it?
Ha, yes. Fair.Hippa (I know)
Why would this mean that MB would be untradeable in the short term, unless MB was playing through some foot issues that we didn't hear about.KOC said on Simmons's podcast last night/this morning that Brogdon has had a foot issue since he was drafted that some doctors see as a "ticking time bomb." Here's what he's written about it:

I suspect the Clippers are probably THE team most sensitive about bringing in guys with injury issues at this point, with the Pelicans #2. Those teams have had their fill of highly-paid players who can't stay on the court.Yeah, there's no way to know near-term: is this the longstanding medical red flag used as an excuse by someone in the process, or some change to his actual prognosis?
Easy to imagine, given the history of the foot, that this simply reflects different conclusions by different medical teams.
Except untradeable in the "short term" makes it sound like it's something every medical team would agree to.Yeah, there's no way to know near-term: is this the longstanding medical red flag used as an excuse by someone in the process, or some change to his actual prognosis?

This is my issue with Windhorst----it's not like he reviewed the MRI. Is that was the Clippers flak told him? Is that what the Celtics told him? Is that his speculation based on what who knows told him? I have zero idea...I don't have any way to know whether what he said about 'short term' is reliable or not. It may be, I just don't knowExcept untradeable in the "short term" makes it sound like it's something every medical team would agree to.
Unless the issue is that MB should be getting surgery on his tendon and shouldn't be putting it off.
Walton>>>Bowie>>>Oden…Blazers by a nose.I suspect the Clippers are probably THE team most sensitive about bringing in guys with injury issues at this point, with the Pelicans #2. Those teams have had their fill of highly-paid players who can't stay on the court.
My guess is they had some concerns about whether Brogdon should have had surgery (which would be a November/December return from now) and tried to use that to reduce their cost, Celtics just moved on now they're playing it up for the press.Something feels really weird here. Most likely is that the Clippers got cold feet and are having press guys run cover for their backing out.
Brandon Roy as well. 3 time all-star by age of 25 before the knees gave out.Walton>>>Bowie>>>Oden…Blazers by a nose.
Yup, also this. Feels a lot like they get some doctors' opinions and move him to a western contender later. My guess is they had some concerns about whether Brogdon should have had surgery (which would be a November/December return from now) and tried to use that to reduce their cost, Celtics just moved on now they're playing it up for the press.
Yeah, I should clarify, November/December is long end of if it's extensor tendon surgery, not clear that is what it is, and from Himmelsbach's post my guess is it's less serious so they think it's a shorter timeline so they can wait to see.
You jerkI hope Malcom Brockton can stay healthy this year.
This and Windy's tweet can't both be true. I guess Windy was carrying some water for LAC? Or maybe just got bad info.Yup, also this. Feels a lot like they get some doctors' opinions and move him to a western contender later.

Sorry, I misspelled his name, I should have written Malcolm Brockton. You jerk
Certainly not for the Clippers.....Does Brogdon (plus filler?) for Paul George as a Posey type 2nd unit captain make any sense whatsoever?
The Clippers just rejected Brogdon's medical, but now they're going to trade one of their two superstars for him? What?Does Brogdon (plus filler?) for Paul George as a Posey type 2nd unit captain make any sense whatsoever?
I think you can reconcile the two if you emphasize Windy's use of "short term." I initially thought the tweet alluded to the chronic foot issue, but that's not a "short term: problem. So, it must be the elbow and some question as to whether he can be ready for the regular season. And you know how the Clippers hate to have their guys miss regular season games. This and Windy's tweet can't both be true. I guess Windy was carrying some water for LAC? Or maybe just got bad info.
The team that acquired Kawhi and George? Those guys? You may be right that NOW they are the most sensitive.I suspect the Clippers are probably THE team most sensitive about bringing in guys with injury issues at this point, with the Pelicans #2. Paul George would be challenging Tatum for being best player on the team, he most certainly wouldn't be a 2nd unit anythingDoes Brogdon (plus filler?) for Paul George as a Posey type 2nd unit captain make any sense whatsoever?
At his age and injury history? I guess I see it differentlyPaul George would be challenging Tatum for being best player on the team, he most certainly wouldn't be a 2nd unit anything
He's only 33. Last year he played 9 fewer games than Jaylen Brown and was significantly better in them.At his age and injury history? I guess I see it differently
