I keep waiting for when I can identity who is hitting when the Sox are at bat. I’m still in the “who the fuck is this guy?” stage with 35% the team cuz of the injuries.I keep waiting for the offense to heat up. Seems like there's enough talent that it should take off at some point.
Cora showing confidence and all that shit. Why not PH someone for Hamilton?
Don't call him Francis.Tampa Bay pitcher has a Francis from Stripes aura about him
I'm kind of done with all the bad things I have to say about Cora as manager. I just can't wait until he is gone at this point. He pinch hits the other day for Duran and Abreu and lets Hamilton hit tonight.
Hey, another good pitching performance anyway. If Devers could catch a baseball they might have won.
They have the same record when trailing after 9.Sox having an 0-17 record when trailing after 8 innings sounds shockingly right to me.
I would've guessed the over on that one.Sox hitters have struck out 61 times through the first six games of the homestand.
I would have thought it was just with RISPI would've guessed the over on that one.
Our lineup will fit right in.Weather looks like crap for tomorrow
"Grounds out softly" is one of the saddest phrases in the English language.Just not enough talent in the lineup right now.
I'm trying to find something equivalent to Football Outsiders' Post-Game Win Expectancy, where you take the per-PA results and estimate the likelihood of each team winning the game.Somehow we hit 2 home runs but only scored 3 runs, while leaving tons of runners on base in the middle innings, then went down as feebly as possible in the 8th and 9th. I won't even bother with the defense.
I think you'll need a "correction factor" to account for our errors. We continue to give away games.I'm trying to find something equivalent to Football Outsiders' Post-Game Win Expectancy, where you take the per-PA results and estimate the likelihood of each team winning the game.
Like yesterday, if I counted right, home team had 4 singles, 2 doubles, and 2 HRs while visitors had 7 singles. Given those numbers, I would expect the home team to win 80% of the time.
