(It’s not fun)
QFTIt’s a sad state of affairs when SoSH is giving some rando with a twitter account credibility. This is how desperate we are for any good free agency news.
Thanks FSG!
For what its worth, he apparently broke other sports new accurately before. So as much as I have no idea who he is, he appears to have some credible sources beyond the average Twitter warrior. It’s a sad state of affairs when SoSH is giving some rando with a twitter account credibility. Giving randos with Twitter accounts credibility is a time honored SoSH tradition. It’s a sad state of affairs when SoSH is giving some rando with a twitter account credibility. This is how desperate we are for any good free agency news.

I don't understand this logic, the number of followers doesn't necessarily correlate to legitness. I have just over 500 followers and as a college basketball writer I broke some realignment and scheduling news back in the day, does that mean I'm not legit?Just under 4.2k bots... er, I mean followers. Seems totally legit
Breaking realignment news and breaking where the richest contract in the history of baseball is going to be seems a tad different.I don't understand this logic, the number of followers doesn't necessarily correlate to legitness. Thanks for making me feel ancient.Jake Wesley is now 24 years old
You aren't posting unsubstantiated "reports" about one of the biggest free agency deals in professional sports history. This was not a slight towards you, like at all.I don't understand this logic, the number of followers doesn't necessarily correlate to legitness. This I agree with and I apologize I didn't mean to come off as offended, the way it was written, it didn't track for me. Back to important stuff, has Soto followed Duran on IG yet?You aren't posting unsubstantiated "reports" about one of the biggest free agency deals in professional sports history. But to answer your question, of course the number of followers matters in terms of how we perceive the validity of information. Its filter people use and I feel like that will never change. We have been on this site for pretty much the entirety of the internet and there is one truism - the internet and its social network hives lie. All the time.
Mets version of the Red Sox randoIs there a typo in that tweet bc I wouldn't want to be that person anyway (whoever they are)?
On the plus side, it might cut down/eliminate posters citing themMore like JaRed (Sox) Cannabis, amirite?
Gonna be a harsh toke now if/when this isn’t real…
I'd make a post laughing at this, but would exceed my character limit. On the plus side, it might cut down/eliminate posters citing them
It’s a message board… we live in a world of social media. Have fun with it.On the plus side, it might cut down/eliminate posters citing them
I am. I have a lot of fun pointing out posts that cite randosIt’s a message board… we live in a world of social media. Have fun with it.
My pre 2004 mentality has me fearing if they got him he’d get a ball on the wrist á la Nomar.I am. I have a lot of fun pointing out posts that cite randos
edit: And if turns out to be true, I'll have fun watching Soto hit
My neighbor's dog hasn't broken any stories yet but when we communicated via telepathy this morning he told me Soto to the Sox was done.I am. I have a lot of fun pointing out posts that cite randos

Will your dog only talk to MinihaneMy neighbor's dog hasn't broken any stories yet but when we communicated via telepathy this morning he told me Soto to the Sox was done.
Actually my dog refuses to talk to Minihane. Which is why I love him. Will your dog only talk to Minihane
Could be, though hard for me to imagine they think the Mets aren’t gonna blow that out of the water. That sounds like a legit offer.
At least a CYA we’re not so cheap offer. That sounds like a legit offer.
The fact that the number is out there is making me think Boras is putting it out there to get the Mets to do exactly that.Could be, though hard for me to imagine they think the Mets aren’t gonna blow that out of the water.
But it also might be that Soto wanted to be the largest FA deal ever (this would be that) and then would pick where he wanted to play.Could be, though hard for me to imagine they think the Mets aren’t gonna blow that out of the water.
Cohen versus Boras is a fascinating sidelight to all of this craziness. The fact that the number is out there is making me think Boras is putting it out there to get the Mets to do exactly that.
Prom night. My pre 2004 mentality has me fearing if they got him he’d get a ball on the wrist
Yep, feels like the Sox floated this to say see, we tried! Knowing full well that offer is nowhere near close enough to get it done.12/600 isn't going to get it done
I dunno. Largest deal in history by far, right?12/600 isn't going to get it done
