Burnham is the latest star to join the HBO series. In the past few weeks, Adrien Brody, Sally Field, and Michael Chiklis all joined the show as Pat Riley, Jessie Buss, and Red Auerbach respectively.

The series also stars: John C. Reilly as Jerry Buss, Jason Clarke as Jerry West, Quincy Isaiah as Magic Johnson, Solomon Hughes as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Gaby Hoffmann as Claire Rothman, Hadley Robinson as Jeanie Buss, DeVaughn Nixon as Norm Nixon, Molly Gordon as Linda Zafrani, Rob Morgan as Earvin Johnson Sr., Spencer Garrett as Chick Hearn, Kirk Bovill as Donald Sterling, Delante Desouza as Michael Cooper, Stephen Adly Guirgis as Frank Mariani, Tamera Tomakili as Earletha ‘Cookie’ Kelly, and Joey Brooks as Lon Rosen.

Is it supposed to be a comedy? I can't picture Reilly in anything not funny

Magnolia. Boogie Nights. Gangs of New York. Reilly has great dramatic chops.

I saw Reilly and Philip Seymour Hoffman in Sam Shepard’s “True West” about 20 years ago and it was one of the coolest performances I’ve ever seen. Circle in the Square Theater. Small audience. Reilly and Hoffman are acting up a storm.

Adrien Brody as Pat Riley? Not seeing that.

I had a PT who used to be a cameraman for WCVB. For one story, they were covering Larry Bird at home in French Lick. Nothing remarkable except for the fact that Bird’s fridge was apparently completely filled with beer. I hope they include little details like that.

That’s in the 33 hour Larry Bird miniseries coming soon to HBO+

Didn't Bird once tell Bob Ryan that his fantasy was a fridge full of beer in which every time you took one out another would magically replace it?

I saw him play Stanley opposite Natasha Richardson (RIP) as Blanche DuBois and Amy Ryan's Stella in a 2005 Broadway revival of A Streetcar Named Desire (Chris Bauer was also in it and it was the height of The Wire being a "thing" so that was kind of fun, between him and Ryan). It was an unusual casting, but he managed to pull it off.

Don't forget Holmes and Watson.
That's some cold but brilliant shit.

I could always go for another Always Sunny ep centered on Larry Legend.

Ainge was just on the Celtics pre-game show and they talked a bit about this. At the end, he and Scal joked about who would play Kevin McHale — and he said Herman Munster.

Options?

And who wouldn't want that?
This was the 80s, every beer was the same as every other beer. This mythical mini fridge would be a cornucopia of like, Bud, Coors, Miller, Pabst, Strohs, Schlitz, Old Style... I dunno maybe it would have enough magical power to summon up a Heineken.

Cross your fingers for a Geary's Pale Ale, or an Anchor Steam or SNPA if your magic fridge has cross-country capabilities.
