So I have a pretty cool connection with the Patriots and I've been able to meet / talk-to players and coaches (during Summer Camp) for well over a decade now.

Two summers ago I said to him..."I've never met The Great Ernie Adams --- can you make it happen?"...

5 minutes later --- me and Ernie Adams are talking about our favorite pizza "Santarpio's...Frank Pepe's...Regina...etc."

Then talked about favorite cities...etc.

He's cool...not the nerdy jerkoff 'mad scientist' that everyone would expect.

So --- fun conversation with The Great Ernie Adams has been crossed-off my bucket list.

So....what does it mean?

Also while I love the example from the Giants-Rams game and its effect, I’m amazed that it’s such “unorthodox” thinking. It’s like not doing certain parts of a full court press in the final 7 seconds of a hoops game when you’re trailing because you’re worried about giving up a layup

An enjoyable 12 minutes. The white board scrawl in his office midway through is a great teaser for the end

My favorite part (besides pink stripes) was the conversation about the shorthand he has with Belichick, cutting to the incomprehensible 2017 conversation.

How often, over the past 40 years, do you think he's been pissed at Belichick, or Belichick's been pissed at him? Clearly he's gotten a few rebukes for using the mic too often...

This was really well done for a short web video. Interesting to see the goaline D call for the Giants in Parcells' first season as a D coordinator play a role in the Raiders playoff game call on third and 1.

Slater narrates some other stuff for the Do Your Job series, etc.
It's also, you know, on screen. It's tricky though, because "Narration by Matthew Slater" could mean so many different things :)

Oh wow. What a career. I thought he'd go out feet-first.

Can we have an old-timers coaching staff with him and scar just telling stories?

This is what my brother (track coach) said to me anout Tre Nixon after he was picked:
Tre Nixon...lifeless footstrikes. Unless he has David Givens level savvy, he's a bust

Mike Reiss: Bill Belichick gave Ernie Adams the honor of making the Patriots’ final selection in the draft (Adams’ last), calling the room to attention to salute Adams. Maybe Central Florida WR Tre Nixon turns out similar to the “legendary David Givens selection” by Adams.

Can a 7th rounder be a bust?

I feel like it's a near certainty that Tre Nixon becomes a useful player now.

Can we get a Zapruder-level analysis of the board that Ernie takes the Nixon tile down from?

I meant to write about Patricia over the weekend. I know we all hold 52 against him, but maybe he is more suited for an Ernie type of role given his personality and intelligence? I’m intrigued.

Well, after watching all of this in this thread, Tre Nixon has become my "I hope He makes it on the team" guy. Lump in my throat.

Someone calling a 7th rounder a "bust" before he even gets to training camp is pretty much everything I hate about the draft encapsulated.
