You go for it on 4th down, like 4-5 times throughout the game, and on the last two possessions, you punt both times? I don't get it.

BC better fucking spike the ball after first downs in the field of play. I don't care that the clock stops. Just spike it, and take your time and set the next play, instead of wasting time and throwing an incompletion or getting sacked.

That's likely the worst FSU team they will EVER play, and they fuckin gave it away

Don't even let Daz get on the plane back to Boston, they're heading for the who cares bowl now even if they somehow beat Syracuse next week.

If Dungy is still hurt and doesn't play, they'll probably beat Syracuse too, which is going to make this feel even worse.

They have a .500 coach. They will forever be ,500 onmatter who they put out in the field. They 4-4 against the P5 this year. Everything about the program is .500. He coaches not to lose and 50% of the time....he loses. Thank you Daz for turning the program around and making it well, .500. But this program has clearly plateaued with him as HC.

If they are sincere in wanting to be perennial Top 25 and raise $150M in a capital campaign, they need to move in from Daz. High end programs don’t waste time on mediocrity. UCLA dumped Mora for Chip, USC will likely cut Helton loose next week after going .500. BC needs to do the same thing.

My daughter goes to FSU. I’ve seen way too much awful FSU football this year. To lose to them is a joke.

Nah you're wrong...Daz always goes 7-6 so he's more like a .538 coach ;)

Serious question, you come out of a TO to 4th n 1... the whole world knows you’re going to hard count to draw D offsides, so much like Brown you come to the line and D doesn’t bite.
Play Clock is running down D line relaxes not to jump

Why not goose the center and sneak????

Like the punt return where the KR caught it without a FC signal then ran back for a TD

Daz’s Record as HC at BC as of tonight: 38-37.
His record v P-5 is 19-32.

I think we have seen enough. Time to move on. If BC beats Syracuse next week, his record against P5 opponents in the last 2 years will be 9-9....yup, .500

We ain’t going anywhere with him as the head coach. What you see is what you’re gonna get.

Because that is what a smart coach does.

7-4 with the best win on the schedule the backburner against Temple at home. Historically awful conference this year. VT , FSU, Louisville all abysmal, Wake is back to being a doormat, yet BC needs a win against a depleted cause team to break 500 in conference play.

Make no mistake there is no real improvement. This is a team that played 8 bunnies this year, and has 7wins. 11 wins and a real bowl game was a possibility with the way the schedule broke

I have to agree. The touchdown FSU got was a fluke, but would have been a td from 55 or 60 yards away or the 75 or 80 it was from. The only reason you don't go for it is if you think the other team can negotiate the ball up the field easier. FSU most likely could not do that. So go for it and if you make it eliminate the chance of lightning striking altogether.

I can't imagine how many incredibly stupid plays you have seen them make if you've been watching them play every week. At least based on the BC game. High school stuff with highly talented athletes.

Wouldn’t be shocked by a Ryan Day hire. Not that I’m endorsing it.
Well at least Day has been gone from Day for a while and working with real coaches. I've never been his biggest fan, but he is now someone who is a legit candidate at this level. When discussed 4-7 years ago it was way to early and he wouldn't have been a candidate anywhere outside Chestnut Hill

not sure if you blame the coach or the players or both, but jumping twice on 4th down is pathetic

When the coaching is as bad as it has been at BC for the last decade. It is always the coaches fault. It pisses me off that Syracus is in such a better position coaching wise

make that 3 times, 2 of them at least on plays where Syracuse was never going to snap the ball and everyone should have known that

Maybe the first time, the second is on the players. That's not to absolve Daz of anything. If he is the head coach next year adds on multiple years of, I hate this word, mediocrity. Or worse.

They are who they are. Grouped with 50 or so other teams who define mediocre. Once in a while they pull of a win no one expected, otherwise, it’s year after year of so so football with minor bowls on the “good years”. It won’t change until they upgrade the coaching and recruiting, but lots of college football fans say that about their favorite team. Case in point where I live. USF.

Daz is something like 1-16 against ranked teams.

GJGE. I think he really might get canned.

Yeah I actually think he is going to get canned, what good is pretty good recruiting if you are such a horrible in game coach.

Not only that but on the third offside BY THE SAME GUY, that same guy also roughed the passer. That one was 4th and 11 so offside would not have done very much.
Couldn't believe at that point that guy wasn't rotting on the bench the rest of the game.

Syracuse may be in a better place coaching wise but Dino is rumored to
Be heading out to USC if Helton gets canned. Although USC is putting up a fight tonight against the Irish
