Another frustrating game, but I'll say this: if Chapman really is back on track, I think things will settle down soon.

I think the first third or so of the season was a lot of "just enough" offense and a lockdown bullpen. When the bullpen isn't fantastic everything gets hard.

A dependable Chapman and the new reinforcements will help a lot. We know the offense will have too many days like this.

DJ isn't quite as good defensively, but I'd rather see him at 3B every day. Or even IKF, who has won a gold glove there and knows how to put together a productive AB so they can bring up Jon's favorite SS.

Can we please not do the knee-jerk shit here? Montas hasn’t pitched in almost two weeks and flew in late this AM from his mother-in-law’s funeral.

64 pitches for Montas, wonder if he’s done as he was supposedly on a 70 pitch count.

I mean, our shiny new toy just shit the bed right after the offense staked him to a 4-1 lead. All this after the rest of the team is scuffling and I'm not sure it's reactionary more than just reality.

But as always, I'm aware that if posters don't agree with you they will be shouted down at all times.

Yes, the Yankees are having a horrendous week on the field, feel free to join the masses on the rest of the internet in digging their graves. Personally I like this site because I like to think that people here have more perspective, but that seems to be less and less true as time goes on.

And you were whining when they were dominant too, it is draining to read.

Meanwhile Wainwright has gotten absolutely screwed by the ump more than a few times.

Abreu gets through the top of the order, K-ing Arenado to end the inning.

Now let's score some runs, especially if Wainwright stays in.

That is not even close! 3-2 with the bases loaded, terrible.

6 runs through 5 innings, but 15 baserunners, a lot of squandering where one more big hit could have been immense.
