I wonder how many seconds will pass before some dumbass talking head proclaims Shields a better postseason pitcher than Lester if KC hangs on to win.

I'll sign. Last time leaving Boston, I got one at the airport and it was wonderful.

All right! I had a roomie in college who worked there, and he'd bring back some chocolate cake donuts, sans frosting, just the way I'd like them. Mmmm.

Herrera -> Davis -> Holland are truly nasty.
Yup. It's not too ridiculous to suggest that Oakland has 4 outs to get something done or they are in seriously deep shit.

Have to agree with those who have trouble rooting for Shields - and while I have always been annoyed by his act on the mound, I'll bet it is perfectly fine when he's on your team.

I never understood the Shields hate--he seems like kind of a nondescript personality out there. What is it that gets under people's skin about him?
Scientific fact that anybody associated with the Rays gets under one's skin.

I'm not saying it's over for the A's, but man, it is not going to be easy to get back into this.

For me, it's this thing he does after a K - turns around quickly and faces CF ...struts a little - there's something about it.....compare it to when he gets a regular strike, and to pitchers who  immediately face 3B waiting to get the ball back.
