Whatever the Yankee fans did has worked, Mercado has already made two of the worst plays you'll ever see from a right fielder. He overran a single into extra bases and later rewarded Anthony Rizzo's terrible decision to stretch a single into a double by missing 2nd base with his throw by 10+ feet.
Then Straw and Andres Gimenez let a harmless pop-up behind 2nd base drop (technically a force out at 2nd, but a runner scored from 3rd). That one should have been Gimenez's to field, but Straw ended up closer to it.
This is a pathetic all around effort. I'm done wasting the nicest weather of the year to watch this circus.
