Win the game.

Tanner Houck on the bump, hoping to continue his run from late last season. And I kinda wanna see Franchy today.

Also happy birthday to Hirokazu.

Last year we had an "Opening Day" blowout win with Eovaldi pitching against the Orioles at Fenway and everything went downhill from there.

How about this year we start with an Opening Day loss with Eovaldi pitching against the Orioles and everything goes uphill from here, starting with today?

Franchy at the plate, yes, but I’m curious about what LF Franchy is all about at Fenway.

Also after getting nice and stretched out at 1B all day yesterday, Bobby D goes 2-4 with a dinger. Sox win it, too. Them’s the rules.

Imagine being in a barely filled ballpark and still sitting out deep in the bleachers.

I'm watching on MLB.TV. Any one else's audio off a few seconds? I tired the Tigers game and that audio was fine so I don't think it's my laptop.

If they don't score against Harvey today I might officially give up on the season.

(Kidding... but for real.. score runs off of this guy, please)

I kind of agree. If they sink to the bottom early (even if through "bad luck"), do they really have the talent to make a run for a WC berth?

There's only so many wins against easy opponents a marginally competitive team can afford to squander.

What’s that a 96 mph fastball and a wicked slider? Oh ok I’ll take that Houck

This audio timing thing is really messing the game up.
Yeah it's really bad. I am on PC today and the feed is fine, but the sound is messed up.

Yesterday I was on the PS5 and the video was really choppy and kept going in and out.

Not too impressed with MLB.tv early this season.

Houck seems to have the kind of fastball that gets on hitters quickly, and a slider that's hard to pickup. He must be hard to track out of the hand.

Contrast that with someone like Eovaldi, who throws a million miles an hour but doesn't really seem to blow guys away or fool hitters as much as you would expect.
