Hijacking the thread a little...going with my all-time Pats' defensive team. Gonna run a 3-4 due to the outstanding linebackers they've had.

DE Seymour
NT Wilfork
DE McGinest
OLB Tippett
ILB Nelson
ILB Bruschi
OLB Vrabel
CB Haynes
CB Gilmore
S Milloy
S McCourty

Lots of other worthy players to be considered at all these positions, and I don't mean to disparage any of them by not putting them on this team. Obviously good football minds could disagree with many of these choices at almost all these positions. Alternatives that immediately come to mind: CB Law, CB Revis, S James, LB Hightower, DE Chandler Jones, DE Julius Adams, LB Mayo, LB Buoniconti, CB Clayborn.
Did Rodney Harrison kick your dog?

Seymour? He was too tall to play tackle and too slow to play DE. Hell, he had only sack in the pass-happy SEC!
That never, ever, ever gets old, and never will. Especially since Matt Light had no chance of ever contributing in the future.

Pittsburgh, PA
Also, Sterling Moore deserves better than a random shot taken at him - I thought many of us swore off slagging him after the pass breakup that saved the 2011 AFCCG right before the missed FG.

Nice play but was more of an Evans drop, IMO. He also got beat by Manningham IIRC. I’ll call it a draw.

A little off topic, but the NFL pro bowlers were announced. The Patriots, who are putting up one of the best defensive performances in NFL history, have a whopping TWO pro bowlers: Dont'a Hightower and Stephon Gilmore. Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens have FOUR pro bowlers on defense: LB Matt Judon, CB Marcus Peters, CB Marlon Humphrey, and S Earl Thomas.

Where’s DMAC and Collins?

Nowhere to be seen. Collins was unREAL to start the season but has definitely fallen off. Still, his overall body of work this year has been pretty awesome. Mac has been spectacular. JC Jackson has been great. Lawrence Guy has been really good. Van Noy has been top shelf. The Pats could easily have had 5-6 defensive players as pro bowlers, especially given that they are by far the #1 ranked defense this year. Kind of amazing how this works.

To compare Judos with Collins, from a statistical standpoint...

Judon: 47 tackles, 13 TFL, 8.5 sacks, 0 int, 0 PD, 3 FF, 0 FR, 0 TD
Collins: 71 tackles, 8 TFL, 6 sacks, 3 int, 7 PD, 3 FF, 1 FR, 1 TD

So I guess the 2.5 sack lead and 5 TFL lead Judon has on Collins is enough to outweigh Collins' advantage in tackles, interceptions, passes defended, etc?

Okayyyyy.

Oddly the one that irritates me the most is Bailey being left off. Granted I haven’t watched any other punters this season nor could I name any of them but Bailey has been nails all season. I don’t know how punters are evaluated however looking into the statistics his gross average punt yards and net average punt yards are not among league leaders but he is 2nd in punts downed inside the 20 all of which are likely a function of where on the field he is punting from. It feels like the Patriots have punted a lot this season from around mid field where booming long punts does little good.
