HOU hit Clevinger pretty well this year the two times they faced him, but those were back in May so maybe not so meaningful.

both Yank & Sox fans should be rooting for Astros to have to use more resources this series. I'm not sure though how Clevinger or Bieber can keep the Astros down.

it's more complex than this, though, since if your rival wins, you want HOU to stomp them. I don't really know the answer.

If Francona knew Diaz was going to hit the ball hard, why was he wasting at-bats with Yonder Alonso the past two games? Diaz basically has no L/R splits.

They've been talking a lot about Clevinger's personality, but they haven't mentioned that he once quit baseball in high school to focus on being a professional skateboarder... that's where the quick feet and great pick-off move come from.

Clevinger over 60 pitches, not out of the third yet.

Edit: Got out of it, 61 through 3.

Interesting if they try and get one or two more innings out of him, they've planned on having Bauer ready for long relief for some time now

I'd say grab the momentum and get the offense started now, but we've got the catcher and "pitcher" due up.

Think we have problems? Clown shoes baseball this inning. Totally deserve the broom.
