Harold just said relievers use different set of signs than starters do. I'm calling bullshit.

I'd pay good money for a player to give all the glory to Satan in one of these interviews.

A Toronto MB is saying Donaldson passed the concussion test and is good to go tomorrow. Don't know their source.
Blue Jays radio cited Rosenthal as the source. Also said Bautista had mild hamstring tightness.

Maybe David Price will shut the fuck up before putting himself forth as the conscience of the game now that he's even more firmly established as a postseason failure.

Kershaw is 1-5 with a 5.12 ERA in the postseason. I guess he sucks as well.

No.
And that's not what I said.
I said Price is a postseason failure.  He is.
And yet he sometimes puts himself forth as the conscience of the game.  I might think a player who had also succeeded in the postseason would be more appropriate for such a role.

In the postseason, Kershaw absolutely has sucked so far.  It's safe to label both him and Price as postseason failures.  However, there's still plenty of time for both of them to turn it around like Randy Johnson finally did.

No, a nice omelet for supper. I made lunch. We take turns.

That was a nice game, but after last night's tour de force by Arrieta it was sort of ho-hum, more like a regular season game. Anything that brings David Price down a peg appeals to me, though, not because he's excellent, which he is, but because I think he's too big for his britches.

WTF is with the decision to have Pete Rose as a studio analyst?

That's up there with Tom Werner's decision to have Rosanne screech out the national anthem in San Diego.

Neither pitcher sucks but as each guy's sample size grows the questions around their ability to perform against the better teams in their respective leagues increase.

Pete Rose, man of famously good judgment, complains about Donaldson leaving the game. "'Cause you're a little lightheaded?...

That's the line I heard and it made my head snap up. Really Pete, you want to play the "in my day..." card about concussions?

Of course, it's difficult to actually make out what Pete says because he sounds like he's chewing on a pile of dogshit most of the time.

Edit:  And now it appears that FS1 has stopped transmitting.  Awesome.

I didn't catch that, but I did hear him say something about "So if the player says he's fine, he can't keep playing?", to which he was told "No, they have strict protocol now when it comes to concussions" and Charlie Hustle had this confused look on his face.

Which explains how concussions were handled in his day.

Toronto is crushed by this loss; I've got a customer from Toronto and he emailed me an order awhile ago, so I shot back "Tough game against the Rangers", to which he replied "What; I think we play Montreal and the Blackhawks play the Rangers".....................yep, they're crushed over this loss....................

Raul Ibanez is pretty good on TV for FS1 Studio.  Pete Rose is fun to watch just because you never know what he's gonna say.

Soooooo, AJP for color guy tonight. Wow, the pickings were slim, huh?
