Just giving away at bats, bailing out on pitches, terrible approach, aggressive when they should be patient and vice versa.
It's not like I'm surprised here. I said they would shit their pants in this series and that the moment would be too big for them, but it's still so frustrating. They have a chance here to take a big lead in the series despite pathetic offense but they are frittering it away.
As has been pointed out by Jon Abbey and others, the Astros aren't the best offense against better-than-average fastballs

Surprised they pitched him outside with that shift. He should have been able to tap that second pitch for an easy RBI.

Lost his older brother, Michael just under a month ago in an ATV accident, while on a fishing trip according to some reports. Also made the 10U All-State team last year (2016). Was trying to find his position to no avail, given his large glove size on the homer. Maybe 1B? Catcher? Got to feel for this kid, kind of an interesting backstory.
Dramatically better offensively. If they have pitchers who can deal like this against great offenses, they are going to be very difficult.

That the Yakees are being held in check in this series so far I don't think changes the fact that by any objective measure they are a dramatically better offense than the Red Sox.
