So Houston beat out Milwaukee to be the first team to represent both the American League and the National League in the World Series.
It sort of came down to home field. It shockingly made an enormous differenceNever in doubt.
McCullers was fucking money.
Astros batters were pretty bad for much of the series but the Astros' pitching was really good. They held the Yankees to 1, 1, 1 and 0. Never would have expected that. The series was won with the Astros being able to win two games with two runs.
Congrats, man! My first born ushered in the Booby V era, so there you go!I’m expecting my first child next month. Lord knows there are already enough horrible things in this world at the moment...but at least He won’t have to be born into a world where the Yankees are World Champions.
Thank you Astros!
He's just factually wrong a huge amount of the time. Occasionally I listen to him do an inning or two when I'm taking a showerr, then I watch the same inning or two on TV and it just bears so little relation to what he just described. For the first few minutes I thought Sterling was pretty good. Now I'm starting to think he sounds constipated.
This is a wonderful combination of sweet and insulting.I’m expecting my first child next month. Lord knows there are already enough horrible things in this world at the moment...but at least He won’t have to be born into a world where the Yankees are World Champions.
Thank you Astros!
? don't think the Astros ever won the WS beforeIf Houston wins the World Series, it will be only the second franchise to do so in two leagues, joining the American Association's 1886 St. Louis Browns (currently the Cardinals), who won 4-2 over the Chicago White Stockings (modern Cubs).
