This is the happiest I've been over a non Red Sox playoff game win since the Royals beat these assholes last night/early this morning/whatever.

Yeah, well you know they're going to shoehorn Jeter into the story when they do, so brace yourself.
I was just thinking "how would they do that?" - but they don't have to wait for this if they start in with a "'96 Yankees the only team to lose the first two at home and win series" type graphic.

The captain of the only baseball team to ever choke away a 3-0 lead in a playoff series was Derek Jeter. Leadership, clutch, winning, inspiring his teammates, blah blah blah. He was the captain of the biggest choke in postseason baseball history.

You don't get it.

It only took Jetes 5 years to get them over 2004 and win a WS. Who knows how long that takes without him?

Why is there a period after "Star" in the KC paper's flag

One more win and we get to see the 'Teams to comeback from 3-0 deficit' graphic.

Can not wait.

It's the one thing I root for in any post season that doesn't involve the Sox.

More wind issues today. Gusts blowing 20 mph straight out to LF in KC

I like Lorenzo Cain.  Could we get him for Workman straight up or would we have to throw in Breslow?
Breslow is a FA, isn't he? You think Britton works as a replacement?

Did ripken just say he doesn't buy into it being easier to hit a homerun in Camden yards than Kauffman stadium?

I found that comment to be pretty absurd as well.

The cradle of the game.
One team down 0-2, clinging to a 1 run lead, the other playing for their first pennant in a generation, this game should be absolutely overflowing with intensity and drama. Instead, it feels like a random Tuesday in early May.

I hate to pull a Harold Reynolds here, but the Royals have got to come away with at least one here
