Did he say Miller is coming in? I don't like Buck, but I can't deny his managerial ability.
Really? He's been one of the best relievers all year and you find it brilliant that he calls for miller? I guess he might've called Jimenez if he was available.

Me too.  The crazy guy just keeps building up his shoe collection. Every freaking day he's posting a new pair of Nikes specially made shoes.  I'll see him next month.

For some reason, I always imagined him in flip-flops.

No mention of sliding in to 2B spikes-first means he would have been safe?

I got too used to Matt Williams and his regimented relievers per a certain inning. Mostly, though, I thought it was the 6th inning.

Why? The more angles they showed, the more blatant it looked.
I agree but I don't think the umpires are competent enough to overturn it.

“@jonmorosi: MLB rules allow umpires to use their judgment to call a runner safe if they believe fielder pushed or otherwise moved runner off base.”

Two things. How hard does this kid throw? And Perez makes that mitt look tiny.

A judgement call?
No

“@jonmorosi: Add: The call on whether fielder pushed runner off the base is NOT reviewable. So Joe West, as 2B umpire, is ultimate arbiter on matter.”

The problem is the ump closest to the tag is watching the tag process and can't really see if there's pushing going on. It is up to the other umpires to have the guts to jump in and provide input.

Everything should be reviewable in my opinion. I'd even use a system where managers had a finite amount of challenges per game on balls and strikes.

??? I don't think it hit his neck at all. It struck the shoulder and then the helmet.

Gregg Zaun has some excellent commentary on SportsNet about Escobar's primary responsibility to establish a throwing lane on the throw that hit Schoop.

And Miller gets constructively wild on Gordon's brain stem.

I never noticed until now but Miller is all legs.

There are some arms thrown in there too. He really turned the corner when he simplified his windup and shortened his stride. His pitching motion acquired some deception in the process.

There's an old SNL skit where Shatner goes to a Star Trek convention and tells them all to get a life.

I wish Jack White would show up in Baltimore and ask them all to stop chanting his song.

So MLB sold ad time to Viagra and Cialis for this game. One erectile dysfunction company wasn't enough.
That must say something about what MLB thinks the average age of baseball fans watching is
