The A’s have a 41% chance of winning. That seems high. This game will prove ‘bullpen games’ don’t work in October. You need an ace.
I think it’s low, TBH. I don’t see why people are so keen to sleep on these A’s.

They may have started slow, but posted a .646 winning percentage in the second half en route to a 97 win season. They did that in a strong division, and without their best pitcher for much of it.

That’s a good team.

45 minutes until I get more frustrated than I probably should be.

Edit
Ah crap it's an 8PM start.

Intrigued by the closers-as-starters. Bring on MFY Elimination Day!

My prediction for tonight is that if the A’s lose, it’ll be as the result of something that has us all posting things along the lines of “Goddamnit Familia”

Here's hoping for each team to score at least 20 runs and the game to last more than 9 innings.

Curious. Who would all you Sox fans rather face in the ALDS?

I feel like the Yankees are one of the tougher matchups for the Sox.
I just realized that the Red Sox could win 15 years in a row and we will still never be the same.

The wounds of youth, I suppose? :)

Mike Fiers had a bad last outing September 28 at LAA. Is that why he’s out of the equation entirely? Or is he out of it? Fiers was great in beating Severino in early September.

If the Yankees end up winning, I'd much rather they just put a 5-spot on the board now so I can go do something else as opposed to a close game they win late.

I've already changed my mind, I just hate this group of Yankees so much (sometimes excluding Judge because he otherwise seems to be a functioning human being).

Maybe because he seems to be pretty good against the Red Sox. Optimistic thinking I suppose.

Can someone splain to me what the A's strategy is here; they won 97 games and they're going with a bullpen game?

And this guy sucks.
