I can't wait until the mouthbreathers and/or trolls look only at this boxscore and the yards and say how badly the Patriots played this half.
Pats have played fine. The refs have been awful.
From bad spots to soft holding calls, the refs have hurt a bunch of Pats drives.

Exhibit A why stats are almost useless in football when taken out of context. People have to watch and interpret the games to really know what happened.

This is why stats in football can be dumb without context. Everything Rivers has compiled in the 2nd Half is meaningless, yet this game will be cited when someone talks about Rivers having X-number of 300 yard and 3 TD games.

Right. Blocked kick behind the line of scrimmage can actually be advanced for a first down or the trickier one is that a foul on the non kicking team is not a post-change of possession foul and so it can create a first down for the kicking team.
Huh interesting.

I love how Tony Romo has gone from the fresh new analyst that everyone likes to just another talking head who everyone wants to watch get punched in the voice box.

Are you people calling this a terrible 2nd half by the Pats actually serious, or am I missing the sarcasm?

The Pats completely went vanilla for the last 20 minutes of the game. Don't make any mistakes, don't give up any long touchdowns, stay healthy, and let the clock run out.

This game was an ass-kicking of epic proportions from the opening bell to the final whistle. The Chargers were never in it. Not even for a second.

The fact that Romo is geeking out over KC-NE in the championship in the way he is, is one of the reasons I'm so happy he's in the booth now. He is very clearly a fan of football who is really good at it and at explaining it to people, and I really like that kind of announcer.

He’s been the king of garbage time stats for years. Back when I still did fantasy football I would always try to draft him for exactly that reason.

Probably the last game Gronk will ever play in Foxboro. Fucking warrior, and his last catch ever was vintage Gronk.

Pats are 20-3 at home in the playoffs during this run.

And down goes another pretender warm weather team playing outside in the cold in January. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Ha, the media is already saying "great numbers by Rivers, but they came up short." Rivers was something like 8/19 for 105 yards by the time the game was decided.

Yeah, Patriots punted three times inside the 40. Once inside the 35 I think.

Yeah the whining is annoying but I like him a million times more then Big Ben & Eli. Not even close.
Big Ben is human garbage and I hate him. I hate Eli but he’s one of the only athletes, and I mean he’s one of like maybe three, where I hate him but respect him. He’s a meh QB but he got us twice. At least that’s how I look at it.
