Not sure I’ve ever seen a game end so long after it was over. That Hawks/Broncos SB might have been more.

I believe once the ball passes the line of scrimmage on a scrimmage kick it is a change of possession but not a live ball until touched.
Yup just did a google and found the same thing. Has to cross the neutral zone to change possession (which is why a blocked kick recovered by the kicking team is treated as any other offensive play).

As annoying as Rivers is, Gates is always all class. Good to see him go out on a sorta high note.

Right. Blocked kick behind the line of scrimmage can actually be advanced for a first down or the trickier one is that a foul on the non kicking team is not a post-change of possession foul and so it can create a first down for the kicking team.

I can't wait until the mouthbreathers and/or trolls look only at this boxscore and the yards and say how badly the Patriots played this half.

I have a buddy who has the Chargers +17.5.(he made a live bet in the first half) He's been living and dying with every play, whereas everyone else at my place is barely watching and we're just telling jokes.

He's absolutely throwing a party right now. Running around and screaming.
