Another completely bullshit holding call. The Chargers holds have been infinitely more blatant but not called.

If Brady's statline holds as is, add another record for Brady: Most playoff games with 300+ passing yards, no picks, with 6. Came into today tied with Manning. Overall by 300 passing yard games in the playoffs? Brady has 15. Manning and Brees are second and third. They have sixteen...combined. What a sweet, sweet sex game.

The pick was the missing element. Glad we had it, and after the Cover 3 burn blown coverage against Allen in LA's first drive, Gilmore has again been absolutely has been shutdown.

Bi-Coastal, for the time being
It was just like the Jaguars play, except that Gilmore was on the play the whole way (where he closed against the Jags), he was standing still to jump vertically (vs the Superman soar vs the Jags), and he caught he ball with two hands (instead of just flicking it away against the Jags.)

But other than that... Gilmore was still wearing #24 and it was the fourth quarter, I guess.

Random rule question. Why is a muffed punt (recovered by the kicking team) a turnover? If the player never has possession, how can it be a turnover? It’s like a defender having a pass go into his hands and out right to the intended receiver.

Is Gilmore better than Ty Law?
Tough call because it's a much different NFL now. I'd still take Law because he was a consistent shutdown corner for almost a decade and had more clutch plays that directly led to championships. Maybe if Gilmore had been here since the start of his career I'd feel the same way about him.

I’m going to enjoy the walk home through downtown San Diego today from the bar. The Chargers win last week brought a lot of people out of the closet who had been mad at the Chargers for leaving, in my exposure to them. Having them back for one game to be broken by the Pats again is great.
