I’m at my worst watching sports with my kids. I try to be mature but screaming “Stop crying Stafford, go sit on the bench” wasnt my best moment.

I am a little late but just realized Matt Stafford or Jimmy G is going to the Super Bowl. Advantage Bengals?

Meanwhile did it almost seem like the moment was a little too big for Mahomes at times? I mean the guy has more big game experience than many QBs for their careers but he just didn’t seem in command like he usually is. The pass at the end of the first half and then trying to call a time out he didn’t have. And then that weird series at the end of the last drive in regulation and then overtime?

He almost seemed concussed for the last 31 minutes of the game. Funny that if the Bengals don’t commit PI in the end zone it is either a TD or if incomplete a FG. The PI actually induced the Chiefs to try to score the TD and to get nothing. Good penalty.

That forced pass is why Stafford has not been able to make the leap to great. Just a terrible decision.

Jimmy throwing an ill advised throw into double coverage is nothing new.

Good point as they probably might not be in position for Chase had he not gotten hurt and they won say 2 more games.
I thought they should have drafted Sewell as I’ll usually lean in favor of a potential generational OT but Chase is amazing and IIRC Sewell was not as great off the bat as expected.

Higgins would be a worthy #1 in his own right. Great pairing.

Wasn’t it stuff like that from your grandfather that made you a Jets fan? Be careful.

It's easy for QBs to look like that (even MVPs who have won multiple big playoff games) when their #1 option can't get open or can't get the ball. Hill had 7 catches for 78 yards and a TD in the 1st half and was shut out in the 2nd half - he was tackled in bounds to end the first half, the next time he touched the ball was on the interception in OT.

Mahomes' ceiling is still higher than any other QB in the league, but i'm dying to know what he looks like when he doesn't have two all-pros (both Kelce and Hill made the all 2010s team) who always seem to be open and are incredibly dangerous after the catch.
