Gio, Thairo, Higashioka and Valera all officially added. Heller is coming too but he pitched 2 innings yesterday and they need a 40 man spot for him so maybe he'll be officially added Monday or Tuesday.

Still blows my mind that Stanton, Severino, and Betances have missed the whole season but not had major surgeries or traditionally major injuries. Add Andujar to that. How many teams deal with 4 of their major players missing a whole season?

Only two were missed.

Severino will stay in Trenton for one more game, Heller will be activated for the Tigers series on Tuesday. In more surprising news, CC will start on Wednesday and be backed up by German (the scheduled starter), which still leaves NY without a starter on Tuesday.

Trying to figure out if it's going to be realistic to have CC on the roster for the Playoffs ?

The tennis won't be done by 8, I guess they'll start the baseball on ESPN2?

Yep, ESPN2, they just said. The tennis match is becoming great, I will stick with that for now.

That might be it for Tanaka, he is going to be happy not to see this lineup again this season.

Abbey’s right. Green in. It’s like Abbey is managing and general managing this team. Bet he prefers GM.
This one wasn't hard, they showed him warming and Tanaka was getting hammered.

I will choose advisor to the GM, I don't want to be the one hated citywide for decades for going with the equivalent of Carl Pavano.

When you remember how horrendous Green was at the start of the year, sending him down and fixing him is one of the overlooked key developments this year for NY.

21 pitches for Green to get the top six hitters in the BOS lineup in a row, wow.

Gene Michael was always the smart guy in the room. Drive The Boss crazy. He wouldn’t take a big title for his work because Steinbrenner could leverage him.

Just 21 pitches for Green, I might leave him in for a third inning. All of the back-end four guys pitched yesterday, so any who go today also won't be available tomorrow.

Tauchman has a ‘tight left calf’, going to NY for testing.

I'm cautiously optimistic, it looked like a cramp to me and they are just making sure nothing is torn.

Wow, amazing outing from Green, nine up, nine down. They should have at least two of the back four guys tomorrow night now because of that.

My Andujar PTSD extends to the opposition also, Devers makes the play on the slow roller and I think "no way Andujar makes that play in the last few innings of a big game".

Mookie tagged Ottavino there, we might go through all four back end relievers after all.

That has to be the most frustrating strike call for a hitter, a slow curve from the opposite arm pitcher that starts way outside, at no point bends close to the zone, yet is still called a strike.

Is there no chance that JDM can play 1B adequately? Obviously if there was, someone would have tried it, and he has never played an inning there. He'd be more valuable if he could at least be a backup option there and the awesome primary DH, instead of the current awesome primary DH/unusable OF. I bet he opts out after 2020, he will only have 2/39 left then as opposed to the 3/63 he has now.

Chad Green with a serious audition for a postseason start as an opener, an entire time through the BOS lineup from Mookie to JBJ, nine up, nine down, 37 pitches and 5 Ks. Now that is an opener, albeit mid-game. He's had some great games since coming back from Scranton but that might have been the most impressive.

So now NY probably tries Loaisiga to close and Chapman if a runner or two get on, Loaisiga was warming before too.
