A miraculous bases loaded catch in the ninth inning kept the Red Sox victory last night from meaning anything beyond not losing ground.

Another day off the calendar with no positive movement.

Will eovaldi be able to keep his straighter than straight fastballs in the park?

Obviously we can lose some games between now and the end of the season and still somehow miraculously get into the playoffs... But losing games makes it much harder to actually do that, so don't... just don't.
You're welcome.

The good news is only Eddie Rosario has at least 11 AB against Eovaldi, so the Twins hitters haven’t seen him much. The element of surprise.

cool. I hope we can score 20 runs a game without Chavis.

Michael Chavis had a setback with his oblique and the rest of his season is in jeopardy. David Price felt discomfort in his wrist yesterday and won't pitch Friday. Sox will go with bullpen days on Friday and Saturday against the Yankees. Porcello Sunday, E Rod Monday vs. Yanks.

Chavis did not re-aggravate his oblique strain with a swing. He was stretching his back. He's disappointed as he had been gearing up to play again.

So, on the national broadcasts of this series, will it be all Boo-Hoo about the NYY's injuries and scant mention of our decimated rotation?
Anyway, as for tonight, Eo needs to remember what he did against the NYY in 2018.
Geaux, Sox!

Cleveland and the Rays looked like they could collapse for awhile, but the A's just will not lose. Good for them. And fuck them, too, for playing in that dogshit stadium and those stupid drums and vuvuzelas.

Travis keeps his OBP under .300. He stinks.

I don't know what has gotten into Cora this year where he consistently prefers to play worse players just because of handedness. Seems like way more of a thing this year than last year.

Funny they mention a bullpen game. It feels like every game except when ERod pitches is a bullpen game! That certainly is a change form years past.
